Biden and Haley are on the ballot, but not Trump, as Nevada holds presidential primaries
Fox News ^ | 2/06/24 | Paul Steinhauser

It's presidential primary day in Nevada, which for a couple of decades has been a key early voting state in the race for the White House.

Three days after a massive victory in South Carolina's Democratic primary, President Biden is expected to score a second straight landslide in Nevada.

But things are far from simple in the Republican primary, where only one of the two major contenders left in the battle for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination will appear on the ballot.

But Trump, who is the commanding front-runner for the GOP nomination as he makes his third straight White House run, isn't on the ballot. Instead, Trump will be listed two days later, in a presidential caucus being run by the Nevada GOP.

The genesis of the competing contests dates back to 2021, when Democrats, who at the time controlled both Nevada's governor's office and the legislature, passed a law changing the presidential nominating contest from long-held caucuses to a state-run primary.

The Nevada GOP objected, but last year their legal bid to stop the primary from going forward was rejected. In a twist, the judge in the case allowed the state Republicans to hold their own caucuses. No delegates will be at stake in the Republican primary, while all 26 will be up for grabs in the GOP caucus.

There is a none of the above choice. I think that would be funny if it beat Nikky.

Cash Patel on Bannon yesterday said there was a selection on the Republican ballot for None Of The Above. It would be great if None of The Above beats Haley.

DeSantis, Vivek and Trump read the rules and realized that the Nevada GOP set up a Caucus because they did not trust the Primary to be fair and accurate.

Nikki will run alone in the Primary and win zero delegates.

yes, but its completely meaningless. All the delegates will be chosen at the Republican Caucus on Thursday.

Trump is guaranteed to win that.

Nevada is a winner take all state so all of its electoral votes are going to President Trump.

That is how I am going to vote today in the primary, none of the above. And then I will vote for Trump in the caucus on Thursday. Yes I hope none of the above wins over Nikita kruschev Haley, lol!

Better
1) Go to your Nevada caucus and vote for President trump
2) Nevada Primary. The primary ballot has “None of the above”. Vote “None of the above” in the Nevada Primary. Make Nimrat cry

The founders said that democracy is mob rule and here is proof. Only the definition of mob has changed a bit.

That is actually the best answer. None of the Above should win because they all suck. Only Trump is the right choice, and he’s not on the ballot.

NV is just using this to get rid of the more difficult cheat of a caucus and replace it with post-office-managed fake “votes” for Democrats.

Leave it to human beings to make what should be a straightforward process seem like a bad plumbing job. Voting should be SIMPLE on every level adding primaries and caucuses is just adding opportunities for cheating and mistrust.

So you will let a judge tell you who you can or can not vote for? No one there with a chain and a pickup truck?

Only the caucus counts for delegates. Haley’s campaign chooses gaslighting instead.
