Idaho has 8 people on death row, California has at least 737. Only three people have been executed in Idaho since 1976. 13 people have been executed in CA since that time, but all in the 14 years between 1992 and 2006.

In Idaho, since 1909, there have been 9 executions, all white men.

From the history, it is clear Creech is very talented at convincing people he is harmless, right up until he kills them.

Because individual states spent an average of $45,771 per prisoner for the year and they spent it on 50 years keeping this creep alive, Idaho wasted $2,288,000 that could’ve went to schools, scholarships or public parks.

Keeping vicious animals alive on death row for decades is a crime committed on the American people.

But now, decades later, Creech is mostly known inside the walls of the Idaho Maximum Security Institution as just "Tom," a generally well-behaved old-timer with a penchant for poetry.

Oh, he's reformed then. Meanwhile all those people he murdered are still dead.

u also can't be dismissive of the effect it's going to have on people who have established a relationship with him.

If trial, sentencing and execution were swift, there would have been no time for anyone to establish any sort of relationship with him.....
