FDNY boss hunts down staffers who booed NY AG Letitia James, cheered for Trump at promotion ceremony
FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh is hunting down smoke-eaters and other staffers who mercilessly booed New York Attorney General Letitia James – and cheered in support of Donald Trump – during a department promotion ceremony this week, The Post has learned.
FDNY Chief of Department John Hodges fired off an email to other agency honchos warning a reckoning led by the department’s Bureau of Investigation and Trials was coming over the chorus of boos and chants of “Trump” that James received at Thursday’s event.
“BITS is investigating this, so they will figure out who the members are,” Hodges wrote FDNY chiefs Saturday in the letter obtained by The Post.
“I recommend they come forward. I have been told by the commissioner it will be better for them if they come forward and we don’t have to hunt them down,” he continued.

I wonder what NYC will do when the firefighters leave the city which does not appreciate them for other states who do. This is a ridiculous violation of the First Amendment.

Good God, who the hell appointed her? Let me guess: Ewic “sanctuary city” Adams.
Reminds of when Bloomberg appointed a woman - Janette Sadik-Khan - to head the department of transportation, a woman who admitted she never drove a car in her life. ZERO experience in anything even remotely related to transportation and not surprisingly she made traffic hell on earth, literally reducing roads by 2/3rds by putting in bus lanes and bike lanes and disallowing cars to make turns for blocks on end. I remember it took me FOUR hours once to get out of Manhattan.

Too many people complain about Adams when he is going everything he can within the laws of the city. The sanctuary city policies can only be repealed by the city council who are elected by the people of New York City. To all the FDNY whining about persecution: if you can’t stand the heat, quit the department and get hired where you generally live in Suffolk or Orange counties.

Yeah but Adams boasted about NYC being a sanctuary city, I forget his exact words but he invited these illegals and the FDNY should quit, I don’t know how anyone can work or live there anymore especially cops. That city is gone, I don’t even recognize where i grew up in Woodside, it’s like a foreign nation now with rents 300% over the inflation rate
Here’s a suggestion for the FDNY: The lot of you should show up to work in t-shirts that say “I’m Spartacus!”
