Over the past several decades, many of us who were associated with the humanities noticed, within the ranks of its academic practitioners, an incipient displeasure with Western civilization taking hold and gradually developing into outright hostility.
This attitude was at first manifested by a growing reluctance to engage with the vast literary output of Western man, whose creative strivings were summed up dismissively as the work of “dead white males” and consequently deemed irrelevant to the late twentieth century and beyond. If “educators” had their way, those geniuses would be silenced, for as white men, they have nothing to contribute, and therefore they had no reason to continue their conversation with the world.
Eventually, the literary achievements of the entire West were under assault (as well as the attainments in most other fields of creative endeavor), which meant that the prodigious accomplishments of European women were now included in the body of work that had become anathema to modern “scholars” ensnared by the fashionable allure of the current zeitgeist. The position women held on the intersectional totem pole was not enough to offset their inescapable association with the European colonizer.
This trajectory of shifting values is something the general public became cognizant of only gradually and with varying degrees of alarm. But it has been analyzed in depth by intellectual giants as far back as 1987, when Allan Bloom published The Closing of the American Mind. Roger Kimball of New Criterion has canvassed the development of this antipathy to the Western tradition in both the latter publication and his own books. But despite the erudition that these and other great thinkers have brought to bear on this subject, the dismantling proceeds apace.

There seems to be a push to re-enter the Dark Ages.

The state of basic literacy is inversely proportional to the ascension of WOKE agenda, CRT, and the LGBTQ+ curricula in place of reading, writing and arithmetic.

Time to scrap the Dept of Education and return control of public education back to the States and School Districts.
Like politics, the best education is local.
So are laws, which is why they are now just walking into stores and filing bags with merchandise and walking out.
Laws are for white people.
Its een my observation that black folks seem to also have a penchant for blatant moving vehicle violations.

Math created civilization, but to be fair, it was the recording of numbers in written or hardcopy form that started it, so you could call that literacy if you wanted.
At best, the consolidation of populations together could have been described as a good thing, as it increased the power and the safety of those living there from their neighboring populations. There are safety in numbers. But there is also power. Territory. Exchange of goods. Taxes. Interest. Censuses. It’s not necessarily specialization or division of labor that created civilization, it’s the accounting that indentured them.
Everywhere else, when people gathered in extended family groups or tribes, there was history, and sometimes even writing, although oral tradition was far more conducive to the medium. There may have even been some reward to working in even larger groups. But what they didn’t was math. They didn’t need to tax their own tribe. They didn’t need to account for systems of payment. Reward was wasn’t purely material before “civilization”
I’m not saying that slavery is intrinsic to civilization. Surely even tribes kept slaves from among those they defeated. But keeping books on the services of people, from agriculture to military, is the singular organizing principle, in my opinion.
... and I’m not sure we are better for it, as individuals anyway.

The blaKKK blokkk doesn’t want to “get ahead” by working hard and playing fair. Too much work! Work “reminds” them of their days as slaves, don’t you know — even if they never WERE slaves.
They see ALL of “white” America and its systems, institutions and wealth as a huge shopping mall and like a real shopping mall they simply plan to LOOT it.
“I doesn’t needs to read to loot a shopping mall!” is as far as they are able to reason.
They really don’t have a plan for what to do after they have finished robbing The Man blind, and the systems that feed, clothe, and shelter them inevitably collapse. Like animals, they are incapable of thinking ahead and reasoning about the long term consequences of their actions.

Federal education control (and federal education money) has spawned an Educational-Industrial complex — thousands of NGO-like “businesses” that sell their woke, perverse worldview into our public schools as curricula, library materials, instructional systems, etc. Your local school district is literally spending your tax dollars to have itself polluted from outside.
Reminds me of a single panel cartoon back during the Enron debacle. An executive is sitting at his desk in a corner office with floor to ceiling windows, the secretary sticks her head in the door and says “I just heard from accounting, 2+2=4 again.”
This is simply an offshoot of the black societal mantra: “You actin’ white!” if you do well in school. It’s been around for many decades.

No, at its root it’s not by us. The “man behind the curtain” of the evil worldview(s) isn’t a man, but rather “that old serpent, who is called the devil and satan, who deceives the whole world”.
Exactly.
And without Divine Intervention, he will succeed.
This is a major reason that I think the end times is upon us. We have the technological capacity to destroy the human race as never before.
And because of that, it’s happening at a rate never seen before.
