So evidently it’s now possible to grow huge blueberries.
This news will make some people very happy.

This was top news at noon in my neck of the woods.
Nothing about the murders, gang wars, drug wars, carjackings, or anything else that would warn one of what is current.
A dam blueberry.

Happen to live in the town of Hammonton, NJ, blueberry capital of the world.Grew up pickin, and packing them most of my life (so far). Best tasting and largest variety is the Elizabeth, Blue Ray, and Blue Crop. Unfortunately the first two do not travel well. To get the best you need to get them right off the bush.

The best nutrients are in the skin. Costco sells Wynman’s frozen blueberries which purport to have double the antioxidants. They are a bit smaller than peas. This gigantic one has hardly any beneficial nutrients at all.

OK, somebody explain to me the difference between blueberries and huckleberries.
My grandmother always called what I now understand to be Blueberry Pie a ‘Huckleberry’ pie. I don’t know where she ever ate a huckleberry, spending all of her life in the Midatlantic; but maybe she learned it from her husband, who had been all over the country...???
