I suspect the numbers will rise sharply. From what i read around 100 people have been evacuated. An unknown number fled to the roof of the building and rescuers are working do save those. In the video from inside the hall there are at least several hundreds of people. The building is on fire. So things probably are rather grim.
Ukraine made a serious mistake here—or who ever was behind this move. Maybe the CIA? MI6? Who ever will just cause Russians to go crazy with a desire for revenge. WE better denounce this action at once! So too all Nato nations. Even Mr. Zelenskyy would be smart to distance himself from this bit of terrorism. We must see the body count—if its bad, this might be the spark for WW III. If Russians find out it was England or France behind the attack—I would not want to live in Paris or London. Putin will now have the support of 100% of the Russian People—woe to Ukraine! Crazy Russians are not someone you want to fight.

It`s probably even worse than i thought. The concert was sold out. Depending on the configuration of the venue that means there were between around 2000 and 7000 tickets sold. From the videos i found Picnic seem to be really big in Russia and often play even larger venues. So the number of people in the hall may be closer to the upper end of that range

Sadly, this reeks of the Dubrovka Theater siege in ‘02, where most of the 172 people deaths were attributable to noxious gases employed by the FSB. That disaster was used by Putin to strengthen his hand.
Moreover, the US Embassy issued this advisory on March 7:
The Embassy is monitoring reports that extremists have imminent plans to target large gatherings in Moscow, to include concerts, and U.S. citizens should be advised to avoid large gatherings over the next 48 hours.
Actions to Take:
Avoid crowds.
Monitor local media for updates.
Be aware of your surroundings.

How did the FSB let this happen?
I mentioned the Dubrovka Theater debacle earlier, but the cold-blooded apartment bombings you mention are even better examples of Putin’s willingness to kill Russians for his political ends.

It was long-running Russian art rock/prog rock band Picnic (they are fairly ordinary, their very best stuff sounds like Saga album filler, which is not great); and they were starting a two-day sellout.

I didn’t see any footage of the gunmen being killed, but of course costumed corpses can be provided later.

At least 40 people were killed and more than 100 injured when five gunmen dressed in camouflage opened fire with automatic weapons at people at a concert in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow, in one of the worst such attacks on Russia in years.
Flames leapt into the sky and plumes of black smoke rose above the venue, Reuters pictures and video showed.
Russian media reported a second blast at the venue and there were reports that some of the gunmen had barricaded themselves somewhere in the building.

It was not immediately clear who the gunmen were.
