From what I’ve read, he practically financed half of the Revolution. And, like Musk, he came late to the party; it took him a while to be convinced what was the right thing to do.

Agree. But it’s apples and oranges.
Both have done positive things. I miss Rush. I’m not sure I trust Musk, or ever will.
And, think about it ... what long-term foundation, effort, etc., did Rush provide for America’s future? Not a whole lot, except give us a good crop of Rush Babies, which is important, and he was a philanthropist. I miss him every day at noon. He was informational and entertaining, but he had the power to do so much more.
He didn’t even mentor one or two people to further his media enterprise. His guest hosts were a motley bunch — all good, but none were pushed as someone to carry on his legacy. When he died, it was just ... over.
I’m glad we have Bongino in Rush’s time slot here. He’s different, but he’s good.

Elon Musk single handily discovered and crippled the hard link between 'intelligence' and the media. That alone makes him one of the saviors of our time. When it comes to rooting out evil Musk is in our top ranks. And trust me, they're going after him...
I’m not expert, but I think he was always involved. Funded Sam Adams and Paul Revere. But, yes, very much a bit of a spoiled rich guy. Richest in the colonies, by most accounts. A bit of a fop.
But when the Declaration of Independence was ready to be signed, no one would get up and sign it first.

And our TN Senator hid in the bathroom on J6 so she couldn’t be confronted. A few minutes later she voted to confirm Biden’s election. Not exactly pledging her sacred honor.
