It has been seven years since Donald Trump stared directly at the solar eclipse without wearing protective glasses.
Now he is jumping on the sky-gazing bandwagon again with a campaign video comparing the election to the solar event.
As millions across the country prepare to watch the moon blocking out the sun, Trump released a clip of a silhouette of his head moving across the sky.
The video begins with the phrase 'the most important moment in human history is taking place in 2024' hovering over an image of the sun.
With the 2001: A Space Odyssey theme playing in the background, the video then flicks to photos of crowds gathered to watch the eclipse with their glasses on.
The hoards of people start to cheer as Trump's head slowly moves closer to the sun and the U.S. gets darker.

I was watching the live eclipse event from NASA in Texas. Shadow bands crossed the scene and nobody noticed or said anything!

When the eclipse is total you can look directly at it.

Right. The first total eclipse I saw was in 1979 and I didn’t have special glasses. I looked at it during totality, then stopped looking when the sun got past the edge of the moon. Not too hard to figure out.
Of course, I had to have cataract surgery only 39 years later.
Starring at the sky does no damage to the eyes. Starring at the sun supposedly does. I wouldn’t about the sun, because I’ve always heeded the warning, But I see no evidence that Trump suffered eye damage.
They really have no sense of humor, and humor is Trump’s super power.

The ability to tap a keyboard for a couple of seconds and do even a tiny bit of research is totally dead in the media I guess.
It is safe to look during totality, point being totality is when moon is blocking out all of sun’s harmful rays. You only need the special glasses to view partial eclipses. I saw the 2017 eclipse and by time of first contact and appearance of diamond ring, it was safe to look unaided until re-appearance of Sun after same effects at end of totality. That is probably what Trump did, so as usual, perfectly “legal” acts mischaracterized as illegal by Dumbocrats.
