In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Good Morning All,

What a beautiful morning it is here in the Garden State. Coffee, who needs coffee? It would only slow me down.

NJ is today's cynosure.
Dems thought it was their sinecure.
The Torch has been hosed.
Doug runs unopposed.
Their Senate grip's not so secure.

Garde la Foi, mes amis! Nous nous sommes les sauveurs de la République! Maintenant et Toujours!
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)

I didn't realize how outrageous the whole thing was until Cyber pointed out everything that *could* happen because of Torch's resignation.

I am not puffed up. I hate arguing with people that refuse to do minute one of research to see if what they are saying has any validity, and attacking your position, because they "feel" it can't really be that way.

That is why we are in the state we are in as a country, because everyone underestimates the mendacity of the left, and assumes it will just all work out, because "That can't be right".

As Loney and I discussed OTP this A.M. the NJ statute is obvuiously in contravention to the Constitutionally mandated 6 year term of office, BUT, there is never a guarantee that you will ever get to be heard on any issue, especially this one because Article 1, also provides in Section 5, that Section. 5. " Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members"

And it is not outside the realm of possibility that SCOTUS will not want to have to further Politicize the Court, just because dummycrats keep winning in Liberal States, forcing the arguments up the chain.

They could very well decide to push this off to the Senate, should the Torch Resign inside of 30 days, and Mc Greedy appoint a successor, and cancel the election.

Remember, if they try to go that route, they could do it a day or two before election day, and just remove that race from the eligible balotting without so much as touching a machine, and the results will be grotesquely skewed, because people will be told there is no race in that spot, regardless of what is on the Machine.

Of course hobbes thought that Torch would resign his seat. That is incorrect. I stated yesterday, that he would withdrawl. and he did.

That having been said, the real question is what happens when they lose the Ballotting replacement argument.I am worried that they may attempt a resignation/designation scam, still.....

I'm almost great today. The wisdom tooth I had removed about four weeks ago, decided to grow back in. I'm off to the dentist today, and then probably an oral surgeon tomorrow. Lovely! LOL!

The weather here is wonderful, though! And the Diamondbacks play tonight. So a miserable little tooth is not going to get me down. We might even light a fire in the fireplace. Yipppieeee!
