If you like chocolate, you could try this drink: creme de cocao, creme de mint and ice cream. It's a delicious shake! It tastes like those little chocolate mint wafers.

I've always wondered what swan tastes like. (with my luck, it'll taste like chicken...)

There used to be an actual job for people in the Middle Ages called "swan-turner", i.e. the person had to slowly turn the swan over the fire to cook it. Hindemith wrote a piece of program music (the program had to do with medieval minstrels or some such), a concerto for viola and orchestra and named it for this employment, "Der Schwanendreher". Anyway, after learning aboot all that years ago, I've since wondered what nice cooked swan would taste like...

I was fortunate enough to get a special swan hunting permit this year. If I get one, I'll probably have it mounted rather than eat it. I have had swan stew which tasted like a very gamey beef stew. Waterfowl are generally all dark meat.

No substantive lead for Walter "the undead" Mondale.

A Republican tracking poll done over the weekend shows a hypothetical race between Republican Norm Coleman and Democrat Walter Mondale at 43 percent for Coleman and 45 percent for Mondale. Mondale's name was floated over the weekend, but the Democrats won't name a replacement for the late Sen. Paul Wellstone until Wednesday.
