Word For The Day, Monday, August 25, 2003
The Verbivores | 8/25/03 | Teacher

Posted on 08/25/2003 5:20:00 AM PDT by RikaStrom

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....

inviolable \In*vi"o*la*ble\, adjective:
inviolability, inviolableness; noun
inviolably; adverb

1. Secure from violation or profanation: an inviolable reliquary deep beneath the altar.
2. Impregnable to assault or trespass; invincible: fortifications that made the frontier inviolable.
3. Not violable; not susceptible of hurt, wound, or harm (used with respect to either physical or moral damage)
4. Not susceptible of being profaned or corrupted; sacred; holy; as, inviolable honor or chastity; an inviolable shrine.
5. Unviolated; uninjured; undefiled; uncorrupted.

For thou, be sure, shalt give account To him who sent us, whose charge is to keep This place inviolable, and these from harm.
--Milton.

Etymology: [Middle English, from Old French, from Latin inviol bilis : in-, not; see in-1 + viol re, to violate; see violate.]

Good Morning Students. Welcome to class!

Class is now in session. The rules are simple; you get a grade if you use the WFTD in a sentence, haiku, limerick, or quatrain. You get a "+" if you make a link, or make the teacher laugh, or you offer the appropriate bribes. I hold the grade book; the whip and chair.

"What is on trial here is whether Judge Charles Norgle has the courage to allow the facts to come out after 247 years of slavery and dehumanization," said Lionel Jean-Baptiste, an Evanston, Ill., lawyer representing Toomey.

No, what is on trial here is the "victims" of the world who are demanding payment for something that no longer exists in this country, but still does in others. There is not one living person in America who was a slave. Reparations do not belong here, should never be done here, and if … heaven forbid … ever come to pass, will rend this country right down the middle.

Should the cowards cave and give viability to this asinine cause of the professional victims, I will not pay. This movement, brought by the "leaders of the black community" are doing nothing to help race relations in this country, in fact, they are making sure that racial tensions are inviolate(2); never to be healed.

I firmly believe that if reparations are ever enacted there will be a second civil war on American soil. But perhaps that is just my cynical nature coming out, but I really don't think so.

A stern judge presides as reparations fight begins

Racial tensions rise
Reasoning not logical
Inviolate hate.

Their cries more strident by the hour.
And making more obvious the undeniable:

I do want to see him call a third session. Hopefully, they will self-destruct if he does. Frank Madla is very wealthy and could hold out indefinately on the income from his ranch alone, but not most of the others.

Okay, I'm must be mixed up this morning. Is the meaning of this definition "chastity belt"? It was a big frontier, ya know.

Do you have these bugs in Texas?

They were all over the place at my mother in laws house and they are really scary looking. And those huge things on the first one's head are pinchers. Apparently, the first is male and the second a female of the same type of bug. The website I got the photo from says the male has those huge pinchers but only the female's bite hurts.

I subscribe to a (don't all y'alls mug me for this) liberal magazine. It's called "Ranger Rick." My nephew, Nobi, ate the danged thing. We both love the pictures. LOL!

The democrat credo, inviolable as ever, is to love a lib in every election, believing every novel alibi as to why their programs have failed. ”Ban evil oil!”, they proclaim, and a billion Eva Brauns march to their Hitler’s tune. Even Gray Davis, who is an able violin player in the mold of Nero, has his supporters. And now, Bustamante not exactly a viable lion by any stretch, and, indeed, a vile lib on many issues, has encouraged voters to put a lib veil on and vote him into office. For a naive lib, lo and behold! fiscal sanity is just another bit of fakery put forth by the white power structure, an albino evil that threatens their great God--diversity. Will Bustamante make California livable? No, I really don’t think so.

Gah! I saw that thread earlier. Now the fat elites are too good to go on a diet? Too lazy and indulged? I have a friend who had that stapling thing done, and he was still morbidly obese. Less than two years later, the stapling caused his gall bladder to go bad, and he nearly died. Needless to say, when he had the gall bladder removed, he had them unstaple him, too. He has lost over 110 pounds in the last year on the Atkins diet, and is within 13 pounds of his goal weight.
