Actually no Camle....... we know the driver very well - a really nice kid...... he even took a back road because the main road from town is very busy...... he swears he wasn't going faster than 45 - this was a flat stretch of road, but very dark and in the woods......could have been a deer or he might just not have seen the one curve in the road..... maybe he hit the accelerator when he panicked.... we probably won't ever know.....he hit a slight embankment right where the road curves and the suv (his mom's) rolled..... the three who were seriously injured all had head injuries..... and were wearing seat belts.....

Good poem Texan.....you're really proving yourself to be a pro at this stuff!

Thanks for the prayers Gabz - it is one of those nightmares we all hope never happens to us and watching my friends go through this, and seeing my daughter so afraid for her friends, has been exhausting.
The strange twist to this is that the kids were not out for a joy ride, or even together for the evening...... the driver had missed going to the movie for some reason, but drove past and saw two boys from our neighborhood (they were not together either) and offered each of them a ride home. They both called their mother's for permission....... the girl had somehow been left there - a fluke in her ride home and the youngest boy asked the driver if they could help her out since she lived out here near us..... they literally were just hopping a ride home...... 4 miles tops from the theater to our house........
To: WhyisaTexasgirlinPA
Oh no, how horrible whyisa.
I'll say a prayer for them.
To: dubyaismypresident
You know, when kids do stupid things, like drinking and driving, you can get angry at them for making such a stupid choice, but this boy did nothing wrong and will have to live with an accident that caused so much pain and the death of a little girl.
Ok - sorry - didn't mean to bring down the tone of the thread..... just needed to vent a bit.....
To: RikaStrom
Thanks Rika.....
To: Gabz
LOL, ok, I will make sure the croqs keep the vat filled for you.
To: LonePalm
Sometimes I just don't like the way Anne writes. Some things I like, some things... ick. ;-)
To: WhyisaTexasgirlinPA
Having been in a bad rollover accident just over four months ago trying to avoid a deer, I can believe that scenario. I never want to repeat the experience-we drive at about 10 miles an hour at night up here-the deer are everywhere.
