Beating Patrick Kennedy in this very Democratic district would be a huge upset. A liberal Republican held the seat until 1995, but the most Democratic district that currently has a Republican Congressman is probably Rob Simmons's district in Eastern CT, which only gave Bush 39.9% of the vote. Kennedy's Rhode Island CD is so Democratic that Bush was held to just 31.2% of the vote. But you know what? Patches is such a fool that it may actually be possible to defeat him. I assume that pro-life conservative Republican Governor Carcieri carried the district in the 2002 election (he got 55% statewide and the Kennedy CD is only slightly more Democratic than the Langevin CD), so it is not impossible for a Republican to win in the district.

Great news for Rogers!
Since I moved into his district, this'll be the first time I can vote against Patches!

There's always one major upset every election.
Paddy Kennedy is due for one.

I hope this stays quiet. It's just fodder for braindead leftists to mindlessly parrot that a Fox employee has joined a Republican campaign. It means nothing (after all, they tell us repeatedly that the politics of reporters don't matter since they can check them at the door and it's the executives that make the call anyway) but will still be a leftist nutcase talking point.
