Cobbeldick Campaign Web Pages "A VOTE FOR BRUCE IS A VOTE FOR BAY!"

Elect a Republican With an Independent Mind!

Bruce Cobbeldick, Bay Village mayoral candidate

(440) 668-0887

What does that mean:

"I'm a Conservative first, and a Republican second. I make choices and take stances that map to Conservative Values. I am not eager to be politically expedient. It's my feeling that Party Bosses get people elected, but Pragmatism and Conservatism can rise above (limited) Partisan Thinking. I say do the right thing and worry not about protecting your turf or being the Golden Boy of the Liberal Press! Sometimes Leadership is a very lonely role to play. That's OK. I'm ready, willing and able." -BRUCE COBBELDICK

Whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, there are right ways to do things and wrong ways to do things. Vote for the best person, with the best background and experience. That's all I am asking you to do. Forget money, yard signs, who knows who or who's figured out how to navigate through the Parties' hurdles. Parties exist only to get candidates elected. They do not produce quality Thought Leadership or authenticate core competencies. Party Bosses give the nod to those who've rubbed elbows with the right people and have gotten the mechanics of running a race down pat. But for ideology, principles, leadership or communication skills, look not to the Parties. They peddle candidates that meet their seal of approval for a lot of reasons - none of which matter much to the People. Choose the BEST PERSON. Don't sucumb to Partisan Peer Pressure. This time, it ought to be about what you know - not WHO YOU KNOW. Choose your candidate wisely. If all else fails, follow your heart.

THEN COME BACK TO SUPPORT OUR CAMPAIGN "Help Bruce Become Our Next Mayor Here in Bay Village!"

Taxes are where it's at for this election, come November. The high property taxes in Bay Village has everyone flustered and disgruntled. Bay's business people and residents alike are aware that we live in the 6th highest taxed city IN THE ENTIRE STATE OF OHIO, A STATE THAT IS ONE OF THE HIGHER TAXED STATES TO BEGIN WITH. We are highly taxed within a state that is highly taxed! That's really saying something. I don't see how anyone can walk away from this race and not saying to themselves that we need real Change here in Bay and fast! Get a proven Fiscal Conservative - someone who will reign in the spending and fight for Tax Relief. In 2002, I talked about the need for the Bay (instead of Boston) Tea Party. In 2004, I marched acrossed the north-south, east and wast boundaries of the county, protesting our region's taxes that have gotten out of control. Do you like the idea of working until May 1st each year before YOU GET TO TAKE HOME ANY OF YOUR EARNED INCOME? I DON'T. Do something about it! Lobby For Cobby!
