Traitor Kevin Madden: Responsible for the anonymous attacks aired on FoxNews tonight
Men For Palin Blog ^ | November 5, 2008 | Charilie Fairbanks

Posted on 11/05/2008 7:44:00 PM PST by Charlie Fairbanks

One week prior to the general election, former Romney spokesman Kevin Madden took to the airwaves (on CNN) and defamed Sarah Palin, setting off a media storm over an alleged fight between Team McCain and Team Palin. They were the very early opening salvos in the battle for the party. Fox News expanded on off-the-record anti-Palin comments tonight. Was traitor Kevin Madden for those comments?

I have never met Kevin Madden. I am sure that he has never heard about this blog, and could care less about whether we support him. We come from different parts of the Republican jungle. He worked as a spokesman for the Mitt Romney campaign during the primaries. Acting as a volunteer, I served as a state coordinator for the Fred Thompson campaign during the primaries.

Another difference: Mr. Madden is a traitor to the Republican Party. He violated Reagan’s Eleventh Commandment by attacking Sarah Palin one week prior to the general election.

According to several reputable blogs (redstate.com, townhall.com, American Spectator and the Atlantic) have reported that on or about October 28, 2008, Mr. Madden - while working for the McCain campaign - stated the following during an appearance on CNN: “Yes. And that’s an indication just how unseasoned Sarah Palin is as a national candidate.” That comment and ones off the record set off a firestorm about Republican infighting.

Fox News reported tonight that there had been several off the record comments in which the source indicated that Governor Palin didn’t know (1) the signatories to NAFTA; and (2) that Africa is a continent, not a country. MFP does not know if Mr. Madden is responsible for the comments. There were several other very personal comments that do not deserve to repeated. Whoever was responsible for these accusations should come forward and defend them because they are absolutely ludicrous. Are we to believe that Sarah Palin, a college educated governor, the daughter of two educators and mother of five, does not know the difference between a continent and a country. Are we to believe that Sarah Palin, a governor of a state with a very long border with Canada, does not know that Canada, Mexico and the US are the three NAFTA signatories?

MFP does not believe that Governor Mitt Romney is responsible for these cowardly attacks. Mitt is an honorable man who worked hard for the McCain-Palin ticket. MFP does not, however, believe that Kevin Madden is a lone gunman. He is part of a crew who will attempt to blame Sarah Palin for yesterday’s defeat. Yes, this is the opening salvo in the next phase in the battle for the heart and soul of the Republican Party and MFP will stand against it.

Sarah Palin inspired the Republican base and was personally responsible for the surge of the McCain-Palin campaign after the convention. She reached millions because she is the real Republican deal. Palin is for less government, lower taxes. She is pro-family and pro-Second Amendment. If anyone wants to debate policy and GOP direction, then MFP is ready.

We cannot stand for this behaivor in our party... We have to be loyal to the party. This kind of back stabbing is one of the reasons we as a party have failed. Give it up to the democrats, they grab on to those talking points and spew them out relentlessly when everybody and their mother, knows it’s a bold face lie. 2010 We take back Congress!

I thought I noted negative spin out of the woman who worked with Hume’s panel last night, can’t think of her name and not last night....her husband worked for Mitt. As a Mitt supporter I don’t want to think Mitt was responsible,I do think his supporters would want to try to discredit her for the future. Others also. I never heard of Huck’s people joining the campaign, seems some of Rudy’s folks did.
I got the emails from mymanmitt.com until early September when THEY started cutting down Sarah.
I would believe Sarah before I would believe any of their crap.

Mitt needs to disavow this and cast the cock roach into the light. Romney, I once supported you, but if you are responsible for hurting Sarah, then shame is on you.

Defend the lady!

A friend of mine once told the story about his father, who as I recall was sitting with his sons on the back porch. He became bothered by a mosquito. As the story goes, his father got his shotgun, waited for the mosquito to arrange himself where nothing harmful to shoot was on the far side of it, aimed and pulled the trigger.

Then he turned to his son and said, "Shoot one mosquito with a shotgun and the others take notice."

“Traitor Kevin Madden: Responsible for the anonymous attacks aired on FoxNews tonight”

This is the type of flesh eating bacteria that must be purged from our party.
They are terrified of a Palin.
She doesn’t want to pay homage to their bulls&%t.

I will be supporting Palin and other “outsiders”. The old guard brought us the debacle last night.

When was the last time the party was loyal to you? 1988?

You’re talking about Nina Easton - she has been a poison pill against Sarah from day one. Remember when Palin was first announced? The negative rumors were said to have come from Romney’s camp. I’ll see if I can find a link.

More important than sounding off to weasel Madden is how do we let every R. organization and every future candidate know that any back-stabbing weasels who attack Governor Palin like this are PERSONA NON GRATA...... find out IF this Madden character is involved in this (but just his quoted comment on CNN about how “unseasoned” his own VP candidate is, made DURING the campaign is bad enough)...... anyone involved in back-stabbing Governor Palin must be blocked from all future employment for any Republicans who want our support.

The sad part is Sarah Palin got more support from Lynn Forester de Rothschild than she got from many prominent party members.

It is a sad commentary, isn’t it? I have a news flash...they do not hold the patent on intellect. They are no better than a an Alaskan yahoo or a Southern redneck (me). I hope we all take notice of what many of them think of us.
