It is not what she knows, or who she knows, or the fact that she can gather crowds.

She is honestly one of US, as opposed to being one of THEM.

We have leaders in this country, not Rulers.

A fact that Obozo the Clown has yet to learn, but he will.

We will not be run off the cliff.

The current “leadership” in the party has been worrying about offending the little Commies who are destroying us. It is time to take the battle to them and make them squeal and run. NO MORE, NO MORE, Enough.

Why has the leadership of the Republican Party done this? Simple, some of them want the same thing the Dems want. That is to subject us to a world government and destroy our national sovereign. Our very birth right. And for what? To line their personal pockets. Traitors too, just like the Dems.

I should not hit the post button after writing this, but I will.

One thought I had the other day was if Michael Steele messes up one more time how about Sarah Palin as chairman of the RNC. She’s a good behind the scenes kind of person (i.e., natural gas pipeline) and she can make sure the moderates do not get to be the next nominee of the republican party by making sure that democrats do not get to vote in the republican primary’s.

Oh, indeed they do. And if she stays on the outside, they'll be free to climb all over here. But if she represents the party's leadership, they will have to tow the party line or be declaried, "Personae Non Gratae" and asked to leave the party -- and Sarah Palin seems just the type of party leader who would do it and make it stick.

Go to hell, RINO Steele.

We need to split Sarah off from the "R" party, right?

I think she is feeling much like the rest of the conservatives. She didn’t leave the Republican party, the Republican party left us.

RNC betrays us again and again by supporting liberals calling themselves Republicans. We’re supposed to come crawling back to them, because we have no other place to go. It’s an abusive relationship. At some point people say fark it. I’ve had enough. We are at that point.

The RNC actually has two chairs, one a female and the other a male. Technically speaking, Sarah Palin cannot be the RNC Chairman, but she can very well be the RNC Chairwoman.

This all sounds like 3rd party to me.

The McCain Party will never accept Sarah Palin. Unfortunately for the RepubliCAIN Party, they can't win without embracing her staunch Reagan conservatism and.... they never will.

The great experiment called the United States of America is being systematically dismantled by the left because of the weakness of the republiCAIN party and its inability to compete.

Sarah Palin appears to be our only hope.

She can start by getting rid of Steele and all of the other RINOs.

Yep and she can start but calling out Snowe and Collins, those 2 traitors from Maine.

I couldn't agree with you more. But the path to recovery can never be achieved by giving up. To give up is to be defeated. We, who love this country, are not by any measure, ready to give up, to be defeated. I say let's stay and fight. I say let's stay and fight with Sarah Palin.

Yes...she is our only hope.

At one time, Reagan was, too.
He was treated much the same as Palin.

Too, there are more of us than there are of “them”.
Reagan figured that out, as has Sarah.
Reagan went over the heads of the party and the media, directly to the people.
Sarah is doing the very same thing.

I hope history is repeating itself.

Palin Hints At Independent Conservative Movement

The former Republican vice-presidential nominee and heroine to much of the GOP’s base said in an interview she views the electorate as embattled and fatigued by nonstop partisanship, and she is eager to campaign for Republicans, independents and even Democrats who share her values on limited government, strong defense and “energy independence.”

“I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation,” …

“People are so tired of the partisan stuff — even my own son is not a Republican,” said Mrs. Palin, who stunned the political world earlier this month with her decision to step down as governor July 26 with 18 months left in her term.

Both her son, Track, 20, an enlisted soldier serving in Iraq, and her husband, Todd, are registered as “nonpartisan” in Alaska…

...Steele must have some inside info of the impact that Sarah is going to make in the lower 48 when she arrives....

The inside info is that he and the RNC finance staff reviewed 2nd quarter revenues, linked it to their "outreach efforts" , declining party membership numbers, and then got slammed up side the head by Governor Palin's announcement on the 3rd of July.

Welcome aboard Sarah, the conn is yours.

.

.

.

The unctuous Steele is looking to gain dollars and votes for the RNC while Sarah does all the work. If the Party numbers don't improve, why, then it's her fault.

There is only one way a third party can succeed, and that is by taking over one of the other two major political parties. We Republicans have done this before with the old Whigg Party, so I guess we can do it again. But to do that, it would be kind of important to do it from the inside, out.

"They are afraid she is going to be controlling all the money that conservatives are going to donate to her PAC rather than the RNC."

That is precisely what we have told the RNC people soliciting contributions. "Our donations will be going to Palin until you folks get the message."

My thinking is that we are not the only ones to voice that opinion.

Very astute observation on your part.

We could change the name of the Republican Party to The Third Party, adopting the party’s political platform, and proceed to incorporate grassroot-Republicans, Independants and fiscal conservative Democrats to the Third Party. Leave all of the RINOS and TARPers to fester under the old Republican banner.

Sounds like maybe some in the RNC are finally getting the message...maybe?? They must change direction from this lukewarm Lib-lite they’ve been spewing for so long. It’s not flying with the rank and file base - esp. now!
