California - “Discrimination Free Zones.” ACR 82
California Legislature ^ | IV / XI / MMX | pansgold

Posted on 04/11/2010 3:33:30 PM PDT by pansgold

California

Assembly Concurrent Resolution No. 82—Relative to public education and discrimination-free zones.

ACR 82, as amended, Hall. Public education: “Discrimination Free Zones.”

Gee, does this mean if I don't like someone because they sell drugs in public grade school, I have somehow discriminated against them based on their behavior?

Have I now committed a crime?

legislative counsel’s digest ACR 82, as amended, Hall. Public education: “Discrimination Free Zones.” This measure would encourage public education institutions to designate each campus as a “Discrimination-Free Zone” to provide a safe haven from intolerance or discrimination, to enact appropriate procedures that meaningfully address acts of discrimination that occur on campus, to notify parents and the campus community of existing policies and procedures that encourage tolerance of others, and to use existing resources to identify themselves as “Discrimination-Free Zones”

I believe we in this state have reached a point in time for bankruptcy. Scrap the budget in total and start over. Throw them all out.

So if I step into that zone, does it immediately implement a flat tax? I don’t want to be discriminated against anymore for making more money than someone else. I feel that the progressive tax scale unfairly discriminates against the (modestly) successful.

Should work as well as gun free zones. They should also make it a crime free zone and leave gold bricks on the lawn.

Yet another load of delusional commie BS. This will instantaneously turn into a snitch tool for revenge motivated “liberals” to accuse anyone they want with this newly invented “non-tolerance” crime.

We should set up a fund to get the last of the sane conservatives out of CA and start building a fence along the west side of the Colorado River north to I-40.

Apparently there is nothing much left to salvage...

Good thing California isn’t in a fiscal crisis — it leaves so much leisure time to invent laws that violate the Bill Of Rights.

There are like 6 of us — the housing market makes it a little tight (not that I couldn’t do it, but long-term it causes problems that I may not be able to solve).

But I am out in another year (yeah, yeah, yeah I have been promising for the last year but when you do the math...) and I promise to turn the lights off on my way out.

I suspect CA schools are already discrimination-free-zones—in the original meaning of the word “discrimination” before it absorbed the adjective “invidious” from the phrase “invidious discrimination”. Anywhere with a “zero tolerance policy” of any sort is a discrimination-free-zone.

Here's how this works.

All these accusations of racism have a purpose. It is meant to sensitize people to key words, phrases, and sound alike.

Legislation like this now makes it criminal for a parent, teacher, student to be against 0bama or his programs. You are a racist.

Legislation like this now makes it criminal to disagree with a minority teacher, principal, or teaching volunteer. If you disagree...you are a racist.

Legislation like this effectively shuts down Free Speech in our hypersensitized society.

Precisely! We were given five senses so that we could discriminate (but, not "unfairly").

Can you imagine going to a school board meeting and the Principal opening the meeting with a reminder that the school is a “discrimination free-zone.” Anything you say could be construed as discriminatory and the officer(s) are waiting in the wings to escort you out or worse arrest you!

Yeah, the liberals taught their spawn that blacks are inferior and that Mexicans are basically cockroaches.Of course there is a whole social etiquette where everyone knows their place.

That doesn’t work in reality mind you,it takes maturity, intelligence and a respect for depth. You’re average kid growing up in a socialist system is not going to have either.

Years of having teachers who spend their time thinking they’re infants and whose only attention is reserved for their daddy figures-creates some really problematic individuals.

Like I said, you want tolerance-you’re going to need character and real social skills.Teaching the boys and the girls it is ok to be uh “gey”.

That is not social skills and you’re not teaching them to know anything.

Oh and by the way the liberal bastion where I am taking classes has had plenty of incidents as the children realize that they’re lives are really sucking.

Someone should really take them in hand.

On that note, honestly the US would work better as a single culture and probably a single ethnic group.Having some glorious caste system with a bunch of White,I am not calling that trash Anglo-Saxon or Protestant, Brahims on top isn’t America.

I can tell you don’t live near me. I’m 35 miles from FReeper HQ in Fresno. This is a bible thumping GOD fearing christian area when you stand in church on Sunday because there’s nowhere to sit. This valley raises 50% of America’s food (or could with water... but that’s another story) and it’s the home of ranchers raising beef and tens of thousands of Holstein cattle produce milk for Kraft and a host of other dairy related companies. Gun lovers too.

I am from Louisiana and we moved to Texas when I was 11.

It would be impolite, rude, thoughtless and very "un-southernly" to not offer a hand to folks that seem to have a bit of a "situation."

But, if y'all want to stay and put up the good fight, you will be in our thoughts and prayers.
