No, another win for conservatives. Palin is merely an opportunist.

The conservative candidate won.

I have a lot of respect for Palin because she stands up to the demos when so many just back down.

I don’t believe that she deserves credit for most of these candidates nominations. I could pick most of the ones that were likely to win.

Again, I do have a lot of respect for Palin.

I did until she campaigned for - not just any RINO, but the staunchest RINO of them all - John McCain over a truly conservative J.D. Hayworth. That move really showed her true colors.

An Emmer win on the GOP primary ballot was a given.

The question is how many GOP voters crossed the aisle to help elect the weakest DFL (Dem) candidate (turnabout is fair play, eh?).

Those who are politically astute are thinking Dayton is the biggest Dem threat, and with early returns in, he's trailing the DFL endorsed candidate, Margaret Kelliher.

As a relatively close observer, I must say she does seem to be somewhat of a frump; and with today's "pop-culture" political landscape, that could be significant.

That is called “loyalty”.

Nobody would even know who Governor Palin is, if it had not been for John McCain’s single, visionary decision to select her as his running mate.

She could do no other, than to return that. She did, and she has.

Paid in full. As it should have been.

Payoffs for political patronage, principles be damned, is one of the reasons our Country is in the dire straights it is.

I have this much confidence in the voters or MN: 0

Aren’t these the same folks that gave us al franken? I realize that franken stole the election but it shouldn’t have even been close.

A big negative on McCain’s part.

I don’t see it that way.

If Palin had supported McCain, in return for his having supported a bill she introduced (obviously hypothetical) then that would be political patronage.

The person who single-handedly picks and launches an unknown governor onto the national stage, very likely having in the process brought to the fore, a possible next Reagan.

That sort of thing is not patronage.

That may be gratitude.

Loyalty though, most clearly describes it.

You dance, with the one who brung you. Simple as that.

If FReepers and Tea Party patriots elect President Palin in 2012.

She can reasonably be expected, to show that same loyalty. To us.

Not because she will say so.

Because we can see, that is how she is.

Loyal. Quite determined, as well. :)
