Breaking: Palin to Tame “Papa Grizzly” Didier? (WA Senate Race)
NW Digest.Com ^ | August 23rd, 2010 | Tom Forbes

Posted on 08/23/2010 1:27:15 PM PDT by llevrok

Highly placed sources have informed me that efforts are underway to have Sarah Palin intervene in the current squabble between former Washington U.S. Senate candidate Clint Didier and Republican Senate nominee Dino Rossi.

Palin, if you recall, endorsed Didier just prior to Rossi’s entry into the race in May. SarahPAC gave Didier $5000 and Palin recorded a robo-call for Didier, but she did not campaign in the state for him.

Didier has declined to endorse Rossi in the Senate race until Rossi agrees to meet three specific demands. Rossi has refused.

Republican state party officials and electeds are busy behind the scenes trying to repair the rift. A close election between Rossi and Democratic incumbent Patty Murray is expected, and Didier’s 12 percent primary vote might be crucial.

More details as they become available.

Uh yeah...Palin...drop the grizzly metaphor. Sheesh. And Clint needs to move on...He should shut-up and run again for the House and get some experience.

Ron Paul’s so-called “Sanctity of Life” legislation simply doesn’t protect the sanctity of life. It’s a complete pro-choice for states deception. It says states “can” ban abortion, but not that they MUST, in accord with the imperative demands of the Fifth and the Fourteenth Amendments.

I know for a fact that Didier has had this explained to him. In fact, it was me who did the explaining.

At the time he agreed.

Unfortunately, it is now obvious that he was just telling me what he thought I wanted to hear.

This race is just one more lost cause for the kind of conservatism that advocates for the unalienable rights of all persons.

And of course Palin is no help, since she agrees with Ron Paul that somehow states’ rights trumps the God-given and unalienable right to live.

Rossi’s already done numbers 2 and 3; Didier just continues to lie and state that Rossi has not.

As far as number 1, the electorate of Washington State would consider that unacceptable. People forget that Washington State was one of the two States where abortion was LEGAL prior to Roe v. Wade. WA State has a LONG history of supporting infanticide. And Ron Paul’s insane act has ZERO chance of sustaining a legal challenge as it’s basically settled case law at this time.

Didier’s just a spoiled little boy throwing his tantrum after getting destroyed in the primary. He needs to look at Akers (whom I supported) to see how a real man - and a gentleman at that - handles defeat.

Welcome to 6 more years of the dumbest senator in Washington. Ask yourselves - Can you live with that? You will lose more than your pride in this election.

It's WORSE than that! Per the American Conservative Union's ratings of the Senate, Patty Murray is the MOST LIBERAL Senator with more than 3 years of experience (half a term). MOST LIBERAL. More liberal than Feinstein or Boxer. Worse than Kerry. Worse than Obama (when he was there). Even more liberal than the elected Socialist Bernie Sanders!

We have the MOST LIBERAL SENATOR in the NATION as our Senator, and Didier wants to get his panties in a bind over Rossi not kow-towing to his demands... Talk about egotistical, self-centered, and short-sighted!

Next he will start an initiative to change then name of the state to Didier. After all he has done more for this country then George Washington (or Denzel Washington for that matter, just in case that is who he thinks the state was named for).

All I know is I want Murray defeated. I think most of us will pull it together and throw our support behind Rossi. We need a larger margin of votes between Rossi and Murray, otherwise we know what happens. Recount, recount, ballots disqualified, boxes of ballots suddenly appear and who can believe they mostly vote democrat!

Silly question. So, which candidate for the U.S. Senate from the State of Washington is pictured with Barack Hussein Obama? Should you vote for that person? What about withholding your vote? Who does that help, Rossi or Murray?

It is my suspicion that Didier is positioning himself to take out Maria Cantwell. By engaging in this form of political theater, it will be something that his supporters will remember when it comes to the 2012 election cycle.

If that's his intention, I don't think this is a good strategy. Threatening the primary winner doesn't make people want to support him. I, in fact, supported him (though not voted for him because I'm not in WA), but find his act troublesome. He might be back off soon, but it's enough to throw some unnecessary problem to Rossi.

I supported Didier. We got buried. And while I have no problem with his 3 points, his making demands on the front runner is counterproductive.

But, otoh, Didier's behavior is just more proof the guy is no typical go along to get along politician type, and for that I admire him.

It is not a matter of withholding one’s vote. It is an understanding that Rossi is not totally conservative. We all need to understand that going in. Then when he is elected we will not be disappointed when he shows his RINO side.

Yes, I am impressed that you caught that. Are you a Calvinist?
