Can Christine O’Donnell actually Win? [Flop sweat flowing like water]
Africana Online ^ | September 24, 2010

We have to revisit Christine O’Donnell. In a crop of oddball candidates, she is the clearly emerging as the star. She is Palin times 20. She is frightening, not just in her beliefs but in the scary fact that she could surprise us all and win. Democratic senate nominee Chris Coons is only leading by 11 points at the latest poll. And as we have seen recently, that lead can disappear in a heartbeat.

A big factor in Coons shrinking lead is that O’Donnell is getting tons and tons of media attention. Granted, most is not good but you know what they say, any press is good press. The Republicans in general are very skilled at playing off the negative jabs. And her campaign is no exception. Oh well, she dabbled in Wiccan. But, she is a good “Christian” woman now. She is anti-masturbation. I guess that is a plus to Republicans. Maybe a little extreme but her heart is in the right place. Right? Women should not be in the military, condoms don’t stop HIV, and scientists are creating mice with full functioning human brains. Her list of untruths goes on and on.

I am not sure how her campaign explains them all away. But the point is; they can. Her campaign and the Republican arm at Fox News can ignore or justify any ridiculous comment she makes. And the public, they may just start to buy it. She is young and cute so many voters may forgive her wacky comments. She can speak better English than Palin so that gets her somewhere.

In a year of strange wins, if O’Donnell wins the Senate seat in Delaware, she will take the cake. The biggest upset of all. After the Witch comment was released last week, O’Donnell cancelled her media appearances that were scheduled for the weekend. She claimed she wanted to focus on events in her home state. Then what did she do? Of course, show up on a national cable show. But, it is just Fox. And her mentor, the aforementioned Palin, told her to use Fox to get her message out. And O’Donnell appears to be doing just that. She rakes in political donations, the majority not being in her home state. The right wing religious branch loves O’Donnell.

But O’Donnell has one major problem that doesn’t seem to go away. And it is a problem that her campaign cannot explain away. She has been accused twice recently of violating campaign finance laws. Very serious stuff. Earlier this month, the Delaware Republican Party filed a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission alleging that O’Donnell accepted illegal contributions from the Tea Party Express. On Monday, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington filed complaints with the FEC and the U.S. attorney in Delaware alleging that O’Donnell had violated the law by using campaign contributions for personal use, paying for gas, bowling, even the rent on her house. That is even more serious. There is no gray area here. No one can use campaign contributions for personal residences. Ever.

O’Donnell thus far has not really answered any questions about it, instead issuing a blanket statement, “I am confident that we have been ethical,” and further saying "I personally have not misused the campaign funds." But when reporters pressed further, she pulled a Sharron Angle and ran away. That doesn’t look good. Her former campaign manager alleges that O’Donnell lived off of campaign funds as well. Oopsy. I have no doubt that she will get out of this. Didn’t Palin have some pesky investigation following her around during her vice presidential bid? For candidates like Palin and O’Donnell, these things tend to roll right off their back.

So, we shall see what happens in November to Ms. O’Donnell. I wonder if she will make self love illegal. Or ban Halloween. Perhaps she will be able to investigate further and find out where those mice/human hybrids are kept. What is actually on her agenda? Oh boy, if she wins the election, then intelligence has lost. We have all lost.

She is Palin times 20.

Someone is clearly scared witless about Christine. LOL

Oh boy, if she wins the election, then intelligence has lost. We have all lost. ................................. No, you have lost. Coming up with this childish dribble analysis makes one think about your intelligence. Looks like the left’s panties are going into knots already.

“Didn’t Palin have some pesky investigation following her around during her vice presidential bid?”

Typical MSM/Liberal line.

They launch attacks, one ethics investigation after another, every one shows the person to be clean.

Rather than presenting the person as exonerated at every level, they suggest there is “an air of corruption” or that the person is “ethics challenged”.

Without Palin, these tricks might’ve worked.

Now it’s “they’re trying to do to Christine what they did to Sarah”, which I think means make Christine as popular as possible.

"I’d vote for a red a##ed monkey over a self professed Marxist every time..."

If you live in Minnesota you could vote for combo of the two.

Back in the times of the founders of our nation—or even in a private meeting of the founders—Christine O’Donnell would have sounded like everyone else.

I never that the DE race for senate would be this much fun. Christine is such a doll but she scares all the little sissies, both dem and rino. At least the author recognizes she can win because boy she sure can!

These people should read the FEC rules before they so confidently opine about them.

The FEC allows candidates to use campaign funds to pay their usual salary while running up to the amount of the salary they’d make in Congress.

A candidate could use their salary to say, pay their mortgage. It IS perfectly part of the rules, and both legal and ethical.

“I don’t consider myself a wordsmith by any means, but damn, that is some sophomoric pap.......

If you ever wanted proof of Liberal bias, this election season is it.

While they critisize O’Donnell for her High School activities, they say nothing of the activities of these GROWN Office-Holders:

Clinton and Clinton - ‘nuff said
Ted Kennedy - murderer
Robert Byrd - 30-year-old Klansman and 50-year-old Civil Rights Opponent
Maxiine Waters
Rangel - ‘nuff said
Alvin Green - Senate Candidate SC (this is the real test - let’s see how the number of stories about him stack up to Christine by November 3rd!)
Joe Biden - Had to pay an FET ethics violation fine of $219,000 just this week - any Democrats mentioning this?

I predict that the Republicans will re-take both houses of congress with bigger majorities than the Democrats currently have.

The article is just sooo precious. Christine will make a very fine senator. An added bonus of her win will be watching all of the rats reaching for the D-con to end it all.

“The FEC allows candidates to use campaign funds to pay their usual salary while running up to the amount of the salary they’d make in Congress.

And, the author that says:

“On Monday, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington filed complaints with the FEC and the U.S. attorney in Delaware alleging that O’Donnell had violated the law by using campaign contributions for personal use, paying for gas, bowling, even the rent on her house. That is even more serious. There is no gray area here. No one can use campaign contributions for personal residences. Ever. “

...doesn’t mention a thing about the just-indicted VP Joe Biden, who must pay over $219,000 in fines!

Or, that CREW is a SOROS group, like the type that drove Palin to quit to save her state, and herself, from costly, unfounded attacks.
