Sen. John Thune: Sarah Palin changes 2012 equation
The Politico ^ | September 30, 2010 | Andy Barr

Sen. John Thune said Thursday that Sarah Palin’s decision whether or not to run for president will “change the equation” for him and all other potential Republican contenders.

“She is someone who has a tremendous following out there, particularly in some of the early states,” the South Dakota Republican said in an interview with CNN that will air later Thursday.

“This is not a campaign where you start out and you run nationally right away,” Thune said. “It's all sequence, and you have to get through certain states. She has a big following.”(continued)

If Mitt is on the top of the ticket then I am not voting for him and will just work on maintaining a Republican Congress.

Palin / Thune would be a formidable ticket.

You would rather see Obama get re-elected than vote for Mitt Romney?

Granted our choices aren’t always what we would prefer, but, Obama getting re-elected would not be good news.

If Romney is the GOP nominee, I stay home, period.

"You would rather see Obama get re-elected than vote for Mitt Romney?"

If we have a Republican Congress, then yes. I will not ever vote for a Democrat. And Mitt *IS* a Democrat.

Carville(Democrat): "It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing.
Romney is an ascendant guy."

At least Carville appreciates ObamaCARE (RomneyCARE).

I have taken the pledge. I will not vote for a RINO, not now, not ever again. And I get to decide who is a RINO, not the MSM, not the alleged “moderates”, not the left or the right. I get to decide and cast my one small vote.

Nothing good ever comes of having the “sky is falling unless we vote for anybody with an “R” after his/her last name” attitude. Mitt is not a conservative, he is at best a RINO.

The last cartoon is the funniest. But the actual fact is that ObaMao's kid is both bigger and uglier.

Mitt's campaign goes nowhere if healthcare is the major issue.

The left will be working really hard to present MR as our candidate because so many of us feel the same way. Personally, I’m sick and darn tired of having a choice of two leftist candidates who were chosen by the lame stream media backed by mega $’s from some insane billionaire(s). This is how the Republican party came to comprise so many RINOs. We haven’t had a real choice since Reagan.

The TEA party Conservatives are a good start, but we must have more real Americans in Congress and a president who loves the country. Sarah has the beans to handle all of this including any wimpy Republicans who are still RINOs.

And thanks for the ping.

I hope we don’t have too many like yourself. I count myself as a HARD-line conservative but I realize I will be voting for very imperfect people. If one thought like yourself, then . . .

1980 Yes! Reagan
1988 GHW Bush: Not Voting
1992 GHWB: Not Voting
1996 Dole: You kiddin’ me?
2000 GWB: Not Voting
2004 GWB: Not Voting
2008 McCain: Not Voting
2012 Not Voting

I hope you enjoy your one vote per 50 years or so.

Palin needs to run. No one is coming close to her in taking on the scum Demonrat machine and the media. She has withstood their slanders and knows how to fight and our country needs a tough person willing to take on the frauds destroying this country and the media is a large part of it as well.

You would rather see Obama get re-elected than vote for Mitt Romney?

That could carry weight in the 2008 primary, but since then, the Romney/Rockefeller wing of the GOP has been fighting a vicious, one sided war against the Reagan/Palin/tea party wing of the party, with all stops out, even willing to throw away Senate seats, and endorse an Independent against the official GOP candidate in a Senate race in Alaska.

Mitt Romney is the King of the his branch of the GOP, and this is a war, they have turned against us too much to play your loyalty card now.

“You would rather see Obama get re-elected than vote for Mitt Romney?”

Same argument as last time. May I remind you that if McCain had been elected there would be no Tea Party movement, no conservative resurgency, just the same old malaise.

The key this time is to not allow the choice. Mitt needs to be destroyed on Nov 3. He can’t be allowed to even make it to the primaries

Don’t worry, the Primary will be over long before conservatives get a say in the process, think Dole/Bush/McCain, need I say more?

Well said! I feel the same way.

I will not stay home if Mutt is the nominee, but I will just skip voting for a presidential candidate on my ballot.

Just say “No” to RINOs.
