OK, so it's not going to be Sarah Palin in '12 ... (Left counting their chickens a bit early?)

Its the Country Club Republicans who don’t want an outsider in office. They would lose power if Palin took office and really made a difference, look at Alaska and the oil mafia.

Pray for America

Jonah Goldberg allied himself with famous Palinphobe Charles Krauthammer against RUSH LIMBAUGH!!!

The Kraut is socially liberal and fiscally conservative, well up to a point.

Boy Charles we hardly knew ya.

“There are too many conservatives that don’t like Palin”

You mean like that Jimmy Carter protege Charles Krauthammer?

we’ll probably have Mitt Romney as our nominee next year. I’ll write you a postcard from a tropical island if that happens.

And I'll write, "Sarah Palin" on my ballot.

I don’t understand. The entire mainstream media announces continuously that Sarah has no chance and is irrelevant, and they repeat this over 20,000 times a day. If she’s so easy to beat, why wouldn’t they be trying to build her up as our candidate?

“I had been more of a DeMint or Jindal supporter, until this week. What I saw from the dispicable left, and how Sarah responded has made me reconsider. The liberal loons are masters of creating unintended consequences.”

I think you nailed that one.

The left occupies an echo chamber in this country. Joe Scarborough reads Steve Kornacki, who in turn watches Joe Scarborough. Together their audience is a few hundred thousand leftists, who would write in “Trotsky” on a ballot if they could. They have been putting out the same meme about Palin for two years and are using the Tuscon crisis to reinforce it.

In fact, the exact opposite has happened. Sarah Palin has lost NO support over the way she has been treated. In fact, she has gained supporters, including Michael Savage, who had been overtly hostile to her and skeptical about her until he saw her response to the Tuscon shooting. Savage too is reconsidering:

Michael Savage: Sarah Palin Has Shown Herself To Be A True Leader

http://conservatives4palin.com/2011/01/michael-savage-sarah-palin-has-shown-herself-to-be-a-true-leader.html

Let’s see. Savage has 10 million listeners. Scarborough and Kornacki have a combined audience of maybe 200,000 committed leftists who would never vote for Palin. I was pretty bad at math but even I knew that 10 million was more than 200K. If the leftists can point to a single significant supporter Palin had (like Limbaugh and Levin) who has abandoned her, I am all ears.

So far she has gained the respect (which she did not have previously) of a radio host with 10 million listeners.

As usual, the sound you hear is the left biting its own tail.

Well said. I think that Sarah will run because she knows what the country needs to be turned around and I can’t see her remaining just a cheerleader. She’s fearless and inspired and willing to endure whatever it takes.

Palin came off as Presidential. Obama just looked out of his depth and showed he was just a token that can do nothing better than calling for censorship.

OBAMA YOU’RE FIRED IN 2012!

“Who will it be?”

Why do they care?
Because they are really asking: “Who can we bash into a pulp to get Obama re-elected?”

that is ALL it is about. The left fears Sarah Palin, and their bile is no different than the invective thrown at Cheney, Newt, GWB, Dan Quayle, Robt Bork, Sen Santorum, Sen George Allen, John McCain (for that brief moment when he was a GOP nominee), and many others...

Sarah Palin might well be unelectable thanks to 4 years of non-stop bashing by the lamestream MSM, but even if not, she will have done an enormous service to whoever is the nominee by taking the slings and arrows of leftwing bile for all this time.
