i would say gov Palin is not above using spin if she needs too but the difference between her and others is Gov Palin never wavers on her core beliefs. Like the CPAC crap. Gov Palin sided with the Free speech when it would have been easier for her to just denounce the groups invited by CPAC. She framed it within one of her core beliefs.

That's the thing I like about gov Palin when she is unsure of a subject she always goes back to those core beliefs to make a decision. Like Eygpt. she doesn't know enough to make a decision so she reverts back to her belief in Reagan's trust but verify and calls for the admin to release More information to help Americans understand what is going on.

she always returns to those core beliefs. The MSM wants to spin that as being shallow but like with Reagan It is really being very smart.

I was making a pun (a pretty good one, I think, considering it was totally spontaneous)
I just looked up who EV was, never having noticed his name before: yeah, looks like he’s into self-promotion of an indirect sort, kinda like he wants you to click on his name and go to his AIP/FR homepage and get seduced/
I avoid labelling anyone a troll, and I know pissant from having read many hundreds of his posts/replies. He’s just opinionated, like most here on FR.
On the “who will be the nominee” front, it’s been clear to me for a LONG time, that the ONE person that gets all the flak from every conceivable direction, of course, is the person who’s got the broadest and strongest appeal, and that’s Sarah Palin. Both the Left and the RINOs should know it by now: the more you attack her, even in ‘subtle’ ways, the more popular she becomes, and the more likely you will be facing a VERY formidable candidate about a year from now, when all the dust settles. It’s her inner strength and convictions that carries her forward, and growing numbers of people have come to respect that, even if sometimes grudgingly, above all else.

I think that’s a very shrewd assessment; the pre-campaign equivalent of putting a spoiler in to draw votes away....
Huckabee is a very genial guy, but I can see a million ways he would be a disaster as a candidate,(forget about a disaster as PRESIDENT) and then it would all go down the drain. Whoever becomes the GOP candidate MUST be ready to go all the way, and this whole process will start LESS THAN A YEAR FROM NOW. It ain’t Romney, it ain’t Gingrich, and it certainly ain’t Jeb Bush. Once more EVERYONE ‘left’ and ‘right’ are ignoring the facts out there that a SECOND WAVE of Tea Party passion is about to rush right over them. It’s clear to me that RIGHT NOW, Sarah Palin is the candidate, and she IS the only one who has been “going all the way” for about three years now, unlike all those others.

yes the entire theme of the dems and Gop establishment since Nov has been to stop Palin from running away with it. To place doubts as to her electability, to make it appear that the GOP is evenly divided. Etc. If it was a flat out up or down poll on Mitt and Gov Palin my guess would by Gov Palin gets 40-50% Mitt around 25-30% and 20% unsure

She’s not the president. That’s traditionally his role. Can you imagine the hair-pulling and gnashing of teeth within the media, intelligensia, Hollywood and nutroots had she done so?
