The Right-Wing War Against Sarah Palin [CINOs Krauthammer, Will, Pete Wehner, etc]
The Atlantic ^ | March 14, 2011 | Joshua Green, senior editor

Posted on 03/14/2011 9:09:02 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Over the last few weeks, Washington conventional wisdom has begun to coalesce around the idea that Sarah Palin won't run for president. A number of news outlets and commentators have pointed out that she isn't doing the sorts of things that serious candidates usually do at this point in the calendar, hiring veteran staffers in the key early primary states, visiting those states regularly, and delivering speeches that begin to lay one's "vision" for the country. Roger Ailes of Fox News pointedly did not suspend her contract, as he did those of two other candidates, because, he said, she has given no sign that she is planning a campaign.

All of this is true--and yet strikes me as mostly beside the point. Palin is the furthest thing from a traditional candidate, so why would anyone expect her to behave like one? She may or may not run. But attempting to divine her plans by reading the tea leaves makes a lot less sense with Palin than it does with establishment figures like, say, Mitch Daniels or Haley Barbour. It should go without_saying--shouldn't it?--that if Palin decides to get in the race six months from now, she'll hardly lack for name recognition and won't have any problem raising money. She's as viable as anybody, and more viable than most.

A lot of high-powered conservatives must agree with this assessment, because they're expending_an awful lot of energy urgently insisting that a Palin candidacy would be terrible for the movement. The latest example of Palin-bashing comes this morning in Politico, which has arrayed a murderer's row of conservative intellectuals, from George Will to Charles Krauthammer to Pete Wehner to, um, Matt Labash* to scold and correct anyone who might harbor the heretical view that Palin has a right to seek her party's nomination...

Journo-list is alive and well. And if you accuse the Progressive media of coordinating their attacks, they’ll just email each other furiously until they agree upon a strategy on how to discredit you.

Palin’s opposition isn’t right wing, they’re just left wing moles.

Another in the number of special people who flock to and surround the people getting close to the levers of power. Kraut has no patriotism, or concious. He’d do anything to support and protect business as usual and Israel. These turncoats don’t care about this country, during presidential elections 85% always vote demon-crat

She and her family desparately need the money from Fox. The endless stream of lawsuits against her forced her to leave the Alaska Governor's office. Whatever money they have goes for lawyers and protection. Approximately, 2000 serious death threats, a liberal hit novelist moved into the home next door just to compile dirty laundry.

This is war people. There is only one party in DC, these elite control both parties. Until the Tea Party, there was no alternative to the one world socialist workers paradise. We might never have an opportunity to vote for Palin. God Bless and Protect her, in Jesus Name Amen

This sounds like an argument against her running for president.

How do you know the details of her finances?

The elitists are on the march big time. Enough of these pundits, they’re Dupes, nothing more. I live my life in reality, I know REAL people when I see then, they have nothing to hide, they speak from the heart based on well-founded knowledge.

No more Ivy Leaguers, enough of that ilk. Let’s get back to citizen leadership dedicated to SERVING the nation based on the law of the land: The US Constitution and of course Biblical standards which benefit the unbeliever along with the saved whether they want to recognize it or not.

Did you watch her TV show? Have you followed her on FB, or her website? When asked why she left office, the Palins honestly told the public that frivilous lawsuits forced her to quit. It cost lots of money to answer even the most baseless suits. If you put those details into your computer obvious comes popping out.

I’ve been dancing around that opinion, calling them RINOs and CINOs, but you are exactly right. They’re there to sow confusion and politically kill true Conservatives so that they and the ‘rats can continue their cozy little club in DC and their reign of terror.

Thanks for saying so, and it really did need to be shouted.

I saw an interesting comment on another site discussing the hatred of Sarah Palin. The commenter implied that the RINOs and the elites are keeping us focused on Sarah and defending her while the other hand is grooming a dark horse candidate who can raise more money than anybody and can definitely get elected. So, should we be watching the other hand? Everybody, keep your eyes open. Keep track of all possible candidates and the amount of money they are gathering. We don’t want to be “blindsided” again.

Exactly these guys are barely rinos. At best they will be sitting at the back of the Republican bus while Palin drives it from town to town.

Shes in charge and they just can't stand it!! I hope she runs but IMHO even if she doesn't shes still in charge!!

I'm so sick of people bashing Sarah, I really can't stand it anymore.

I just checked to see what's on tv tonight to distract myself from all the misery out there.

Perry Mason: The Case of the Grimacing Governor on ENCM at 8:00pm.

Scary if the dark horse is a seeming conservative, and when he’s revealed, everybody jumps on only to be smashed to bits when he uncloaks to show his RINO/elitist true nature.

We really should assume that they’re doing just that. zer0 must be stopped from “winning” again. Our country will not survive another four years of this.

I agree with you. They’re guilty of seudo-intellectual snobbery and are as aloof from the mainstream as that heartless android in the oval office.
