When the news reached the Press Gallery in the Capitol that Sarah Palin was going to be starting a bus tour in Washington, D.C. on Sunday - maybe an indication that she was about to get into the Presidential hunt - you could feel a bit more excitement creeping into the 2012 race for the White House.
And when word came later that Mitt Romney will make his bid official next week, the contours of the Republican nomination battle seemed to be getting clearer and clearer by the minute.
"This Sunday, May 29th, Governor Palin and the SarahPAC team will begin a trip through our nation's rich historical sites, starting from Washington, DC and going up through New England," said a statement on her web site.
What's in New England? Well, there is this place called New Hampshire.
Meanwhile, Romney was eating pizza at Gino's East in Chicago, and sending some extra slices over to the Barack Obama campaign headquarters.
A few hours later, he made his intentions known on Twitter.
"Making it official next week at the Scamman Farm in New Hampshire," Romney tweeted.....

I’m sure the ‘rats are looking for an alternative and Mitt could fit in very well. IMO, he’s ‘working’ for Barry.
He's shameless.
I think I’ll cut and paste the comment at the link.

Governor Sarah Palin according to the Gallup polls now has a 71% approval rating with republicans AND republican leaning indys. Her approval is higher than any other GOP potential candidate. If all these people that constantly say I love Sarah but I dont think she can win would get behind her instead of saying I want to go with who I think will be the WINNER instead of what is right for this country if they would get behind her than you would see a totally different campaign. I guarantee Mr. Obama would be a one term president.
Her record in Alaska of working with everyone without compromising her conservative principles is what got her an 85% approval rating in her first year. She took on and beat an incumbent governor even though she was told it was a losing strategy. She beat him by 31.5% 51,443 votes to 19,412!!! Gov. Sarah Palin has what it takes to beat Mr. Obama. Shes the ONLY one that does!!!
Good idea. Someone gets it and gets it very well. I’ll have to read some of the comments - Thanks!!
Heard the perfect definition of the Beltway Conservative today, George Will, interviewed by Laura Ingraham. I haven't been able to locate the audio, but to paraphrase, Will said the election has been narrowed down to three candidates. Romney, Pawlenty and Huntsman. Will also said that people cannot expect perfection with their candidates and in order to be successful, they have to nominate someone who appeals to the Independents. Will went on, if we do nominate “a Populist” candidate, we can expect to lose 45 or 46 states.
In my opinion, this guy has been and is a horses rear end. His type of Elitist, Establishment, RINO mentality is still alive and well. What Will described as a winning candidate was exactly John McCain.
These types are probably a bigger enemy to Conservatism than any Democrat, as they claim to be on our side, yet refusing to actually support a real Conservative. People like Will would likely rather see Obama reelected than to have a Conservative elected as POTUS.
I actually believe these arrogant types don't truly give a damn about the average American. After all, in Wills case, he still gets paid extremely well to perform as the “Token Conservative” on ABC's This Week (in Socialism) and continues earning a healthy paycheck for a column. I'd be willing to bet in Will's world, Obama really isn't a bad President at all.
Well Mr. Will, things stink out here in real America and if our getting a Conservative elected as President means exposing you and your type for the frauds you are (that being the FAUX Conservative), so be it.

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"Im told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palins people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romneys former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off .hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."
