Speculation swirls that Obama will dump Biden from the ticket in 2012 (Andrew "Cuomosexual" instead)

Could President Obama dump Joe Biden from the Democratic ticket in 2012?

New York Post columnist Fred Dicker says yes, quoting prominent Democrat and Republicans speculating that the president would replace Biden with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

“I don’t think there’s any doubt Obama is going to pick him as his running mate,” Republican William Powers told Dicker. “The president is in trouble and Biden doesn’t bring anything to his ticket.”

The report also said former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown has speculated that Biden would replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.

Cuomo is said to be eyeing his own run for president in 2016. But Biden may not be thrilled about the prospect of Obama elevating Cuomo, especially since the V.P. reportedly floated the idea with Democratic donors of running for president himself in 2016 too.

Shouldn't it be the other way around? [snort!] What does Mr. Obama "bring to the ticket" except failure?

If Cuomo gets a slot on the ticket, maybe Obama can take New York in 2012!!

Of course, NY is a solid blue state, so that's not saying much.

I think this whole bit is a line of baloney and the point is “gay pandering” and nothing more.

Anyone who has spent more than 10 minutes listening to Cuomo speak will tell you that as an oroator, a campaigner, he is far more annoying then even Biden.

Cuomo wants OUT of NY...his so-alled budget fixes haven't done anything..the state is about to implode in the next year or so..and there ain't gonna be any $$$ coming from DC to bail him out..

I don’t think Bambi would want to have anyone for VP who could overshadow him. That’s one of the reasons Biden was chosen the first time around.

Obama is not very smart and not very articulate, whereas Cuomo, like him or not, is both. Obama can’t take the risk of being upstaged, so I think he’ll either go with Biden again or he’ll find some other idiot like him.

So this “hint” that he might chose Cuomo probably is just a bit of gay pandering, as you suggest.

The only way I see Hillary actually leaving would be to challenge Obama.

Cuomo brings nothing and i mean nothing to a ticket for Obama. He’s not from a swing state, nor is he in no way in anyway a bonus...nada, nothing.

This kind of talk this early in the campaign is just that... pandering. The thing to watch is if Obama ever actually does it (select Cuomo). If he does it means that he’s in real trouble with his base and he’s just trying to mitigate what would otherwise be a huge defeat. Cuomo, like his father, is a loser.

Time to scrape off the ten remaining Obama/Biden bumper stickers still out there?

Hey, this sort of reminds me of Teddy Roosevelt.

Then again, not really.

I just jumped on this post so I don’t know if anyone has posited the idea that Joe B will take the Sec. State jobs to make room for Cuomo. He’s always wanted it and Hill is gone.

Joe B brought what to the ticket? Cuomo is a governor, young and he can move Joe to State without ruffling any feathers.

Biden would replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. Cuomo is said to be eyeing.............................. WHAT? Coumo is going to “quit” his job as Governor? He’ll be a quitter, like the former Governor of Alaska. That can’t happen, the Lib’s will scream.(Of course not, the double standard rule would apply.) Biden as Sect’y of State? That Boob will certainly mess up, I can’t believe the Genius is even thinking about that. 4 more years of being led by a chicken without a head is too much to even consider.
