Unlike the Rollins-Bachmann diss targeting Gov. Palin,
Politico is stirring up a NOTHING for its preferred
Obama and Romney.

Proof: It was written by Jonathan Martin.

“And The Most Irresponsible Journalist Award Goes to The Politico’s Jonathan Martin!
So tell me, how do you write a “news” story about an organization paying for a speaker when you don’t even know if the organization is paying for the speaker?
Ask “journalist” Jonathan Martin. He knows all about it.
You see, Jonny wrote a piss poor story the other day about how the Iowa Family Policy Center will be paying a large speaker fee if Sarah Palin comes to Iowa to keynote the IFPC’s fall funderaiser.
The only problem is that Jonny has no sources confirming that any exorbitant fee is being charged or paid.
Jonny also got some inside info from David Kochel, who was a top aide to former (and future) presidential candidate, Mitt Romney.
Hey Dave, didn’t I just read a story about how Mitt Romney tried to buy off the Iowa Christian Alliance?
I heard you helped facilitate that little scheme. And somehow you are shocked at the thought of a well-known political figure (who very likely isn’t running for president) getting paid a speaker’s fee for (gasp) a public speaking appearance? ..
and then we’ve got Tim Albrecht quoted. He was the Iowa spokesman for Romney’s 2008 caucus campaign.”
And it always seemed like, whenever the Romney people had rumors they wanted to start about other candidates,
Jonny was their go-to guy to get those rumors in writing in front of a national audience.

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

Who benefits most from Sanford meltdown? Californian (that's right) Mitt Romney

Sounds more like Palin was taking a hit at Obama but Politico will look for any opportunity to spin it to divide our camps.

If she doesn’t run she’ll back the Republican nominee.

Dream on Politico.

Sarah is so comfortable in her own skin that she has no need to diminsh anyone to raise her in comparrison. Leaders lead, the rest of the clowns look for ways to bring everyone else to the lowest common denominator.

“That doesn’t sound like somebody who will be getting on the Bachmann bandwagon.”

More like she’s about to get in bed with Perry. Bummer, I’d rather she her run.

Wrote Palin: "Leaders are expected to give good speeches, but leadership is so much more than oratory. Real leadership requires deeds even more than words."

Sounds more like a slam on Urkel.

Or as he is known in the Harry Potter books, He Who Leads From Behind.

I have about 500 bookmarks of posts of people saying she's not running to respond to when she declares.

I wonder if they like a nice Chianti with their crow?

Palin, July 15, announce her candidacy with her movie opening?

Doubt it.

Lots of us do wish she’d either ‘poop’ or get off the pot, tho.

If Perry runs my bet will be on Perry/Palin. This combination will bring back our economy and Palin will put the finish touches on King Obama, the dictator.

So she should give up her strategic advantage to make it fair for her Democrat and Republican opponents?

How moderate of you.

Sarah will NOT be 2nd on any ticket again.

No RINOs (Perry, Romney/Bachmann, etc)

Given the timing, I am not so sure. They came soon after Pawlenty made the same observation. I do not trust Politico, but it is no stretch to assume that the comments were aimed at slowing Bachmann's momentum.

Bachmann is certainly not a RINO.

I wonder how long the Palin faithful will hang on to the dream and where they will go if she never enters. Having so much emotionally invested in a non candidate (or two in your case) and having spent so much energy tearing down the actual candidates with childish name calling I suspect you will not be able to walk it back and vote for the eventual nominee. Like a spoiled child on Christmas disappointed by a tree full of gifts because he didn’t get the toy he wanted.

Bachmann has not accomplishing anything because she will not bend over and assume “the position” to the democrats..

Thats why I’m voting for her..

You know like the other candidates, except Caine, have done..
Caines problem is he worked for the federal reserve...
Caine being appointed to the “fed” has ten foot pole marks all over it..

On second thought maybe he(caine) wouldn’t make a good Veep..
In that case I choose........ Ron Paul...
There would be no assassinations.. for sure..

“If Perry runs my bet will be on Perry/Palin. This combination will bring back our economy and Palin will put the finish touches on King Obama, the dictator.”

I don’t think so. Sarah has already done the 2nd Banana gig and I don’t think she would do so again. I think that if/when she runs, she we either be the nominee or drop out of the race. I don’t think she would accept a VP slot on the ticket again.

I think Bachman would be willing to be a 2nd Banana in 2012, but not Palin.

I will be glad when Palin does join the race.....I believe she brings excitment and zest (as does Bachman to a lesser extent) and I want to she her run. I don’t know if I will vote for Sarah in the primary, but I will be dissappointed if she doesn’t run.

At this point, I don’t know who I will vote for. Of those currently declared, I “believe” that Bachman is the most morally/socially conservative.....so I am leaning towards her. However, if Sarah comes in and shows herself a clear cut social/moral conservative....I might swing towards her in the primary.

Give up her strategic advantage, or man up, reach down and adjust her jock strap, spit, and wade into the fray? Is Sarah happier playing the coy, cute, hard to get cheerleader on the sidelines? Her silly Holly Dunn act, “When I say no I mean maybe, or maybe I mean yes” begins to grate, and the nuanced advantage of the undeclared, possible candidate being able to sometimes speak out of both sides of her mouth begins to fade. Hayna of no?

Hay
