Mama Grizzly Lays Down the Anti-Establishment Gauntlet
Big Hollywood ^ | September 4, 2011 | Michael Moriarty

Posted on 09/04/2011 7:30:03 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Will Sarah Palin become our next Ronald Reagan and more?

Or will she remain a female Rush Limbaugh?

I don’t think Sarah Palin has any alternative but to run in the 2012 Republican primary.

Her clearly stated analysis of “Crony Capitalism” in Iowa yesterday places her in her own, wonderfully unique territory for a Republican candidate. As the “rogue” image she has always enjoyed, targeting the Fat Cats in the Establishment on both sides of the aisle is exactly what Americans of both political persuasions have been praying for.

Challenging “Too Big To Fail” is exactly what most Americans hope for in a President.

No one, out of all the Republican candidates, has thrown down such a clear and arresting gauntlet as Sarah Palin has!

Mamma Grizzly will put the Fat Cats through a refresher course in traditionally American Economics!!

If she’s President!

As we all well know, traditional rules of the Free Market and American Democracy have been so corrupted that we can no longer recognize the United States from a foul-smelling, lawless, 1940’s and 50’s Las Vegas.

We all know Sarah Palin is not a Keynesian but she’s not a Milton Friedman Libertarian either!

That distinction automatically separates her from not only the Crony Capitalists but from Rick Perry who I do believe is a Libertarian, a la Glenn Beck, although much more cunningly veiled than Beck.

Why?

He’s running on a Republican ticket......

Why does the writer put Perry and crony capitalists in separate catagories?

WOW.
Moriarty’s article is an extraordinary acknowledgement of the clarion call that resounds from Sarah Palin. There can be no opposition to her call for a return to our nation’s founding principles. We have not seen the raw political power and principled convictions that she brings to the White House. Sarah is ineluctible.

Thanks for this post. It is easy to be a “me too!” candidate, and then turn around and accuse the originator of a new idea to be a hypocrite. RINOS use this as stock in trade procedure.

Perry did a similar thing with his comments about Enema Ben. Cain called for Zero to be impeached, but was ignored by the L.I.E. Media.

Years ago Rush said it best: “ A politician has to find a way to get above the noise.”

Perry and Palin have done so, let us see if they can continue to do so.

Sarah’s populist anti crony capitalism is brilliant, but I don’t see Milton Freidman or libertaians being for crony capitalism either. We’d all let the big boys fail.

Isn’t it odd that Sarah Palin is in “wonderfully unique territory” for a Republican for being against crony captialism and too-big-to-fail?

Something is wrong here.

Soon to announce the take back America Party, a viable alternative to the two corrupt parties, I say a third party will be launched.

i thought this was interesting:
Mitt Romney doesn’t pander to tea partiers: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0911/62632.html

By BEN SMITH | 9/4/11 9:25 PM EDT
CONCORD, N.H. – If Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney came in search of elusive Tea Party mojo, he didn’t find it here at a small Tea Party Express rally, where a few dozen conservatives sat in lawn chairs and argued about Romney’s conservative bona fides.

Romney made no attempt to out-Tea Party his conservative rival Rick Perry, and in fact the words “Tea Party” didn’t cross his lips in a stump speech that ran less than 15 minutes.

“I thought he’d pander a bit more,” remarked Jerry DeLemus, a local Tea Party leader who’d appeared before the event at an anti-Romney event organized by the Washington group FreedomWorks—a group that split with the Tea Party Express over Romney’s appearance.

Romney instead reminded the attendees at the Concord party that he’s “a business guy” and a “turnaround” specialist. He drew applause for a jab at “Obamacare” and told the crowd, “I believe in free enterprise.”

The event’s attendees were evenly divided between Romney’s supporters in blue shirts, Tea Party loyalists, and reporters, and Romney’s supporters clustered together by the entrance, sparring only occasionally with the anti-Romney contingent who brought their own signs and slogans.

“We thought all the nuts were down in Massachusetts but now we know they’re here too,” one told DeLemus’s wife, Susan, a New Hampshire state representative, she said.

One speaker, the leader of the New Hampshire chapter of the conservative group Americans for Prosperity, Corey Lewandowski, offered a challenge for Sarah Palin, who will speak to the group tomorrow.

“It is time to determine: Are you here to sell books, are you here to run for president of the United States?” he said. “If you’re not serious, get out of the way.

Romney’s supporters couldn’t have been more out of place at an event festooned with the characters like former Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle and the blunt symbols of the Tea Party movement—images of one stick figure shooting another under the heading “socialism” and of an automatic weapon with the legend, “Come and Get It.”

Romney’s supporters hailed from a different Republican Party, said Bill Gordon, a retired software engineer from Lowden, who dressed his poodle in a blue Romney shirt.

“I want somebody’s who’s in the center who can pull people together from both sides,” he said. “We’ll tear this country apart if we swing all the way the other way – we already swung all the way left.”

The event reflected some tension inside the Tea Party movement, with the Tea Party Express – a PAC organized by a California GOP consultant – taking heat from other local groups over the decision to allow Romney to speak to the group.

“He’s alright,” said Tom Homer, a retired postal worker and Tea Party member who was among the few who hadn’t come to the rally with fixed views on Romney. “But yet, he’s Establishment.”

That is correct. Alaska wouldn't be big enough to hide in if she didn't and all those people realize they paid GOOD money for snake oil they coulda gotten for free under Obamacare.

In Thad McCottr
er’s book SEIZE FREEDOM,

In Thad McCotter’s book, SEIZE FREEDOM, he dedicates almost an entire chapter to “Crony Capitalism” and one of the sections is called “too big to fail”. I guess Gov. Plain and Mr. Moriarty have read McCotter’s book.

She's no Johnny come lately to the issue. Palin's been fighting against crony capitalism and "too big too fail" for years--long before Thad's book.

Reading her speech, especially this line:

"My plan is about empowerment: empowerment of our states, empowerment of our entrepreneurs, most importantly empowerment of you – our hardworking individuals – because I have faith, I have trust, I have respect for you.

I don't think there is any question anymore. If she has a plan, it means she's running. She's not going to be able to do much with a "plan" if she doesn't hold office.

While I support her in many ways, her reluctance, planned or otherwise, to declare, state/aver, announce anything with respect a potential candidacy is troubling to me to say the least. Her tactics may be remarkably brilliant, or they may be just coy gamesmanship coupled with a high distrust of the media, for which I can’t blame her.

Others here will say to me mind your own business - it is her decision, etc. and that she will do things on her timetable - not mine.

Well, that is true...that is true. It is also true that I will decide on my timetable and ultimately vote accordingly.

Well I was making a different point.

Whether one supports Palin for Preside or not, and regardless if she runs or not, isn’t it more than odd that the declared Republican candidates are NOT running based on the things Palin presumably would run on.
