The attacks are not as prevalent now. Even here on FR. And the kids aren’t on the campaign trail listening to the press bash Mom. The books have stopped too. There IS a difference.

Wow.

That’s awful and quite alarming.

Glad it was finally resolved, though in fact it was not.

It took Sarah Palin with her new baby and young Piper to consider, what was it reportedly 24 hours maybe, to say yes to McCain’s campaign? It took months for the two children to be served up, finally, as her excuse to say “no” to her own campaign. The family/children consideration was nowhere in sight when it was just show up and bark. That dog won’t hunt.

The hatred was horrible. I can’t imagine the venom on a national level and what it does to children.

They'd been talking to her for awhile. It was more than 24 hrs.

In 2008 no one knew what attacks were coming their way. By 2011 everyone knew what a marxist/Alinsky attack was like.

She had NO way of knowing in 2008 the reaction of Obama supporters and his press. She, and the kids, know now.

RE:"For most clear minded political analysts, it was pretty obvious by late spring/early summer that Palin wasn't running."

I thought it was obvious too especially by last Spring.

She would have been suspended by FNC in the early Spring when Newt and Santurum were if she intended on running. What was amazing was while she was on the FNC Greta show giving her opinion of the candidates many here were still swearing that she WAS running AND that she could/would just quit FNC at any time and at the same time announce her candidacy, as late as September. As if that would fly. But they knew, no amount of evidence could change that, she was going to run an UNCONVENTIONAL campaign, FNC played up that angle as long as they could. Remember the claim that a critical ethics deadline was keeping her from announcing until late summer? That one was beat to death. They kept being made up.

Imagine how different your life would be if you were suddenly not able to post on Palin threads. (This goes for a few other posters too.)

Are you imaging being permitted to post these as a caucus thread under the religion topic? Some seem to believe that is the proper place for Palin threads.

Are you planning on showing up over here and breaking my fingers?

Maybe cutting my power line? Burning my house down?

Are you a terrorist in training?

Keep working at it, because I don't feel particularly terrorized.

“I believe that children wanting to be left alone would sway a parent’s decision”.

I can’t disagree with that. Your story is very awful. I am sure that has been a nightmare for your family. Shame it took 20 years. I am very sorry that this happened to you. I can’t imagine the grief.

I noticed that littl Piper really didn’t enjoy that bus tour. The Media are like packs of wolves.

You both misunderstood the question.

I’ll put it in the form of a concrete statement: HG’s motivation—or desire—to post on Palin threads is remarkably intense.
