The question is, does Obama think a war with Iran will get people to vote for him?
He came in as an anti-war candidate and now has flipped. He was pro-war in Libya, and is now looking for wars or peace with the Taliban to position himself as a successful war candidate.
Joe Biden let it slip when he said "taliban is not our enemy per se". They are positioning themselves for an end to the wars by declaring peace with the Taliban.
The Trouble is that the Taliban (Al Queda) fighters love that kind of deception. They love that President Obama gave them a time table to resume fighting.
Only a Lamestream Press would let them get away with it.
I'd like to believe you, I'll still expect Obama to get over ninety percent from African-Americans in November. Things might change for other ethnic groups, like Hispanics, but overall Obama will probably lose little support from those two groups. Most Blacks still believe in Big Government and the myth that if government doesn't subsidize much of the Black population, they can't make it on their own. Non-Cuban Hispanics vote Dem because they believe, rightly, that Dems in power will mean more Hispanics entering the U.S....legally and illegally.
That's the way I see it for the most part. The fact is the two largest ethnic groups population-wise, Blacks and Hispanics, who support Obama the strongest are the most ignorant. As evidenced by Jay Leno's streewalking interviews, many Americans have a dim idea what's going on in the U.S.... politically and with current-events. The most ignorant are undoubtedly Dem voters. They'll believe anything. They'd probably still believe it was Bush's fault almost four years after he's been out of office.
I agree. When the race is finally condensed down to a black face vs a white face, blacks are going to start taking the entire election personally. They are dormant now but if we see youth mob violence pick up in the Spring and then escalate throughout the Summer, we will know the intent of the black community.
Oh the party will live on, but it will take it at least 2 4 year cycles to begin recovery... and at least 4-6 4 year cycles to remotely fully recover or longer. Folks in their 40’s and 50’s now are the ones really being destroyed by this guys policies, and they are not likely to forget it anytime soon, and when they begin to retire they will not only remember how horrible the democrats screwed the pooch, but will also be the most important voting block in the nation.
The party won’t die, but its will be paying the price for putting up this clod for decades, and all of us will be paying the price dealing with his failures for decades as well, Egypt is now going to be a radical state, and Libya will go from a state with a contained nutjob leader back into a rogue islamic militant nation, as it looks like Iraq is on the path to as well thanks to his inability to negotiate a continuation of oversight.
The world is a far less safe place today than it was before this bufoon took office, and will be for at least 20 years.
