Palin rises to early hour
Los Angeles Times via Kansascity.com ^ | 4/4/12 | Mary McNamra

... if Palin is shopping around for a new job, and not treasuring some wild hope of rising like a phoenix at this year's Republican convention, a morning show like "Today" would not be a bad choice. Whatever personal teeth-gritting it required - Lauer did not look pleased when, after her initial appearance, Palin was installed in his dressing room - the "Today" team seemed to have a humanizing effect on the former governor.

Liberal commentator mostly pleased when Sarah laughs at herself...but mainly wants her to shut-up when it comes to conservative positions.

I haven't watched Sarah this week, so I don't know how this experiment has worked.

"...- the "Today" team seemed to have a humanizing effect on the former governor."

[typed after I wretched into a nearby wastebasket] Yeah, you got it. The lofty "Today" team of liberal angels deigned to bless Mrs. Palin with their very presence; their aura....thereby making this real-life Mistress of the Darkness hide her fangs, retract her claws, and actually appear "human".

God how I loathe these "people".

The liberal mainstream media really believe that just because you believe in limited government and that government is not God then you are “inhuman”. liberals/democrats are the ones who are pure evil and not human. And the liberals who are the mainstream media are the most evil.

It was interesting.

Sarah came on, after having been in Matt Lauer’s dressing room, to which he said (and I suspect he was NOT joking) that he didn’t give her permission to use his dressing room.

He then started to interrogate her as if she was a politician currently running for office, and he didn’t like her politics. There was a back and forth for about 3 times, for which Sarah acted the lady. After the third exchange, Sarah took the gloves off and let Lauer have it back, with some comments about how the MSM has a total double standard for conservatives and called them the “lamestream media”.

At that point it became obvious lauer could dish it out, but couldn’t take it. He spent the rest of the show taking not so subtle digs at her, with a thinly veiled anger.

The MSM is so full of hate for conservatives, and Lauer made it very obvious today it was personal.

Both Lauer and other gal were very condescending to Sarah.

Because morning television understands what many of our current politicians do not: No matter what the local news or weather may be, in terms of the big stories, we’re all in it together.....What kind of blithering horse puckey is that statement?

the liberals who are the mainstream media are the most evil.
Our language is so corrupted by Newspeak that even when you know the truth, you don’t actually make sense when you try to say it. First, “liberals” belongs in scare quotes because there is nothing “liberal” about socialism. And you are actually referring to socialists.

Second, when you say “the mainstream media” what you actually mean is wire service journalism. It’s not the medium by which the public receives the message, it’s the half-truthing, lying message itself. And the first lie is the oxymoron of claiming to be objective - when the only way to even attempt to be objective is to eschew any such claim, and instead confess your interests in whiter case you are discussing. If you are a business journalist, and you own stock in a company you are touting, you have to say so - and that is the opposite of claiming to be objective. If you are a general-interest journalist, your interest in every report is that the incident in question seem interesting and important (whether anyone will remember it a year from now or not) and that the report make you seem important.

I emphasize “wire service” journalism because the wire services - any and all of them - have the effect of homogenizing the perspective of journalism. It creates a milieu in which the interests of journalism, as discussed above, shine through in every story, and the wonderfulness of journalism itself is the whole message. In this vision, the people who actually do things, instead of merely criticizing, don’t count. Only the journalist is to be trusted, and he is to be trusted implicitly.

The Newspeak formulation, BTW, requires that you not speak of journalists as “liberal” but as “objective” - people with exactly the same attitudes as journalists are “liberal” until and unless they actually have a press card. Then it would be gauche to call that same person - George Stephanopolis, poster boy - “liberal.”

Yeah, Ann Curry was particularly obnoxious-—repeatedly patting her on the back and telling her what a good job she was doing.

People seem to forget that he degree is in journalism and she was once a TV news anchor. Being in front of camera, hosting Today is not something that’s difficult for her.

The media and government have something in common. They’re run by a bunch of poofter fags, ready to screech in high dudgeon at the slightest ruffling of their tail feathers.

I loathe them as well.

Matt Lauer is a female version of Katie Couric.

The article's writer is full of crap. Claims it's Sarah's first use of self-deprecating humor. What about "Lipstick" and writing "Hi Mom" on her hand. These mediots are so stupid they can't even fathom how stupid they are. They think anyone who doesn't hold the Manhattan and Washington, D.C. perceptions as sacred, are stupid. Can't conceive that people with other personal histories, other priciples, other information might reach different conclusions with a brain working perfectly well.

I saw a clip in which Lauer starts off a question to Palin: “In light of the fact that you were such a polarizing figure in the 2008 campaign...” What an A-hole.

If the country was split asunder by a Civil War I could say arguably that Sarah Palin would be the new George Washington against Barack Hussein Obama’s Redcoats.

If the SCOTUS was forced to issue a nationwide decree of forming a militia to enforce its constitutional decisions it would be Sarah Palin as a logical leader, either that Newt Gingrich, or both.

I watched some of it and then had to catch the taped videos later in the day. I’m curious as to how her ratings looked. Did They beat couric? I know I left my TV tuned to the channel when I left for work yesterday. My own way of voting. And I don’t ever tune to NBC. And won’t after yesterday.

What I did see, I thought she did well. Her opening was very funny, she was piled with newspapers, “studying’ the issues for her segment. There were some good moments in there.
