Sarah Palin, in an interview with Breitbart News, responded to Fox News chief Roger Ailes remark that she had no chance of becoming president.
Palin called the Fox executives comment interesting. She continued:
I havent heard all of his remarks, but I wonder if he is aware that the same thing was said about me when I ran for city council, mayor, and eventually governor. No doubt many people who are told they cant do something will work that much harder, and they succeed. Maybe you guys should send him a copy of Steve Bannons The Undefeated. The theme of Steves film isnt about me, but about the idea of not letting others dictate ones path in life and never giving up when youre fighting for something precious like our exceptional nation and our childrens futures. So, would you send a copy of The Undefeated to him?
Mediaite reached out to Fox News, and received this response from Ailes:
When I hired most of the Republican contributors, none of them had any immediate prospects of becoming President I wasnt referring to any of their long-term prospects, including Governor Palin. I hired all of them because they made for good television at the time. Sarah Palin is young and nobody can predict the future.
*snorkle chortle* :)
it would have been a historic landslide.
what, you became a riter instead?
You mastered the ukulele?
:^)
Reckon anybody ever said that to Django?
The problem is that we did not get Ailes’ complete statement regarding Palin.
I think he REALLY said, “She’ll never be President.....IF I HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT!” /Sarc.
Well, she didn’t RUN for President... that might have made it a bit more likely. lol.
Maybe a whole lot.
If that happens, I vote Republican for the first time in 8 years.
Ronald Reagan was bad mouthed continuously by the press during the Presidential election of 1980. In October of 1980 his poll numbers were around 30% - he had very high negatives.
Reagan was elected President in November 1980, because the public finally had a chance to see and hear him themselves without the MSM filtering his message.
The same goes for Sarah Palin and Newt Gringrich.
Newt Gingrich has been smeared and lied about for a very long time, mostly by Washington insiders keen to derail his plans for changing how Washington does business and by Democratic Party operatives trying to divert attention from the serial rapist named William Jefferson Clinton.
Okay, then why did Newt, whom I like policy wise, let stupid “conventional wisdom” about him linger for years and years? I was 16 years ago when he stepped down as Speaker.
Did it take that long finally take on the lie he “served divorce papers to his wife dying of cancer in the hospital”?
Let me guess, you are Eric Clapton?
Hey Roger, while you’re jumping the shark, say hi to Ann Coulter.
Maybe she figured out people are just to fickle? One moment they are with you and the next they are not.
To bring it into sports, Doug Flutie my favorite QB said he does not read the papers even when good things are said about him, because he knew that the moment he had a bad game, it would be said of him that he was to short and that he had a weak arm or something.
:)
Well whether she could have won or not isn’t really relevant now. For her reasons she chose not to run and now we will be stuck with Romney as the only alternative to the marxist in the WH who is determined to destroy the country he hates.
She was positioned to win the nomination and couldn’t commit, why will 2016 or 2020 be any different we will be in worse shape because she didn’t step up for whatever reason.
Agreed.
“Reckon anybody ever said that to Django?”
They may not have had a chance - I think he was a certified whiz by about 12!
No, that would be “Slow Hand” not “Small Hand”.
Sarah Palin will run against Hillary Clinton in 2016 and win the presidency. After eight years of Chairman Obama in Washington DC and the United States turning into Eastern
Europe, no way another democrat will win. And no way will the establishment be allowed to run another liberal republican.
