Bad news for Obama, Michigan in play
Legal Insurrection ^ | May 12, 2012 | Professor William A. Jacobson, esquire

Barack Obama crushed John McCain in Michigan in 2008, 57.33%-40.89%.

Obama must win Michigan in 2012, it’s part of every scenario for him to get to 270:

(VIDEO AT LINK)

Yet a poll just released in the Detroit News shows Obama up by only 5 points over Romney, via The Hill:

President Obama is leading Mitt Romney by 5 percentage-points in Michigan, according to a new poll of likely voters in the state.

The survey, conducted by the Glengariff Group and reported in the Detroit News, shows an even wider margin for Obama among female voters. He leads the former Massachusetts governor by 12 points — 47 percent to Romney’s 35 percent.

Among all voters surveyed, Obama led Romney 45 percent to 39.5 percent in Michigan.

This polling will come as no surprise to AxelPlouffe, whose entire “War on Women” line of attack recognizes that without a large gender gap, Obama is toast. As explained in the Detroit News:

“Barack Obama, if he wins, will win it on the women’s vote, “[pollster Richard] Czuba said. “I think, for the Romney campaign, that is the issue now, making headway with the gender gap.”

Regardless of female support, Obama’s overall support in Michigan is well below 50 percent. As an incumbent, Czuba said, that indicates the Democrat-leaning state may be in play come November; Obama won the state handily in 2008.

“This is not a slam dunk by any means,” Czuba said. “It’s a race.”

Do not expect the War on Women nonsense to abate. Obama needs it too much to let go.

I am amazed at the really fast downturn on Rasmussen.
I say amazed, in that he should have been in the toilet from day one.

All of the Marxist media and all the Marxist teachers
may not be able to put Obumbo back together again.

It is going to be interesting as well as frightening
to see what the caged lizard will do.

If you follow my post, for how long have I said watch Michigan? IMHO it will be the battle royale. Also Stabenow is around 50% or less, she is very beatable IMHO. It could be a two-fer, Obama and Stabenow both get defeated in Michigan.

Also I posted here 2 weeks ago, we have a shot @ 60 in the Senate. This week on Hannity, Dick Morris said the same thing.

I am trying not to get ahead of myself, but this maybe a blood-bath landslide a combo of Reagan 84' and 94' - 2010' combo for the house and senate. The Dem's won't recover for 20 years...

I’d like to believe that Michigan was “in play”, but come election day, Obama will squeeze this one out.

The GOP shouldn’t waste too much in terms of resources there. Yes, spend something and give it a try. But save the big guns for the other few states that are really going to matter.

No, man. Make Dumbo fight it out there. The more he has to defend territory that he won easily in '08, the tougher it will be for him to contest the close states that he just barely won.

“I’m also starting to get that feeling.”

A 48 state landslide wipe out against Obambi would truly be wonderful.

It would almost make up for the reality of President Romney.

I agree.

Obama needs to be humbled and humiliated and that would be a good start.

I can almost envision a Reagan type landslide, only for different dynamics - Both incuments were anti-capitalist traitors (but Obama is by far the eviler and worse of the two), but Romney can’t compare in any tangible way with The Gipper. Still, the climate may be right to send a strong message of anti-everything-Obama even if it doesn’t advoacte strong conservative principles...
