Obama Re-Election team concedes Wisconsin up for grabs
National Right To Life News ^ | June 6, 2012 | Dave Andrusko

By the time you read this post, we can hope that pro-life Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will have rebuffed a recall election. Gov. Walker is a long-time hero for the pro-life cause, having begun his advocacy as the student pro-life leader at Marquette University, the same entity which conducted the poll. His opponent, Tom Barrett, has an extensive voting history in favor of abortion, having voted for taxpayer funding of abortion and for partial-birth abortion when he was a member of Congress.

But either way, not so long ago it would have been heresy to think that Wisconsin was “in play” in the 2012 presidential election. Then Obama Campaign Manager Jim Messina sent out a video to supporters Monday that reporters jumped on.

While the National Journal’s Alex Roarty characterized the video as “a plea to not panic despite tightening polls and worsening economic reports,” what grabbed reporters’ attention is what the video said about how the White House is sizing up the electoral map. “Pundits have debated,” Roarty wrote,

“which traditionally blue state–18 of them and the District of Columbia have been Democratic every presidential election since 1992 - might be poised to turn red. Well, the map likely tips the White House’s hand: It’s Wisconsin. The Badger State is the only one the Obama campaign classifies as undecided, not other potentially Romney-friendly places like Michigan or Pennsylvania.”

There is a lot to chew over in Roarty’s story.

The events in Wisconsin are also a wake up call for Romney. If he wins in November and if he does not follow the conservative way, then I have two words to say in relation to 2016: Scott Walker

Wow! I never knew about him being the Pro-Life Leader at Marquette. This revelation tells me 2 things: A) He is now my favorite active politician, and B) he has ZERO chance of being invited onto milt’s ticket.

I would not be surprised if Wisconsin is up for grabs when the general campaign “officially” starts (i.e. post-conventions, etc.) I also believe that, if trends continue, the GOP will have legitimate shots in Minnesota and Michigan come November.

All of which means, this will be probably be the most fiercely fought Presidential race any of us have seen in a long, long time. Obama is desperate, and Romney wants the job a whole lot more than McCain ever did.

Actually, a lot of supposedly "safe" battleground states may no longer be favoring Obama after Obama unwisely offered his support for same-sex marriage. I think a lot of people forget that outside of the US Northeast and US West Coast, same-sex marriages are NOT popular, and that could cost Obama most of the US Southeast and Midwest anyway.

ONE THIRD of union members voted for WALKER! Count ‘em.

ONE THIRD!

The union saw its last gasp. Obama is next, but without union support, a union who now must despise him after this rout.

His interest and presence would not have changed tonight’s outcome, but to stand with those who single handedly bought him in 2008, paid for his election, organized for him on their hands and knees, it would not have been too much to ask of him for something more than the one tweet.

Remember when he told them he would be standing on the front lines, right in there with them, standing beside them when they need him? LOL!
