The YG Action Fund, a super PAC aligned with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), is taking out its big guns in North Carolinas 8th district.
The group reported today that it was spending about $450,000 backing Richard Hudson, a North Carolina GOP Congressional candidate in a competitive runoff with Scott Keadle, a candidate aligned with the Club for Growth. That brings the total spent by group in support of Hudson in both the primary and the runoff to $525,000.
The Club for Growth and its affiliated entities have spent more than $720,000 backing Keadle in the runoff and the primary.
The YG Action Funds new expenditures include mail, radio and television buys.
The TV ad, backed by a $293,000 buy in Charlotte media market from Monday through July 16, connects Keadle and President Barack Obama over the 2009 stimulus law.
The ad alleges Keadle voted to grab over a million bucks of it.

Eric Cantor is spending valuable resources attacking a loyal conservative in a Republican runoff to help his establishment-oriented choice, who is a former Congressional aide.
North Carolina conservatives need to rally around Scott Keadle in a big way. The runoff is on May 17.
Keadle will need to step it up. I didn't know Hudson was running against anyone until recently when I heard a Keadle radio ad.
??
June 17 maybe?
July 17 and Keadle doesn’t even live in the district.
For a guy who’s supposedly this great conservative, Cantor and those associated with him spend an awful lot of time and money attacking conservatives.

“...Voters who cast ballots in last months Republican and Democratic primaries can vote only in the same partys primary this time. Unaffiliated voters who cast a non-partisan ballot cannot vote in the second primary.”
NO CROSSOVERS! Very good for the conservatives running...
Cantor is messing up. It sounds like either of these will win in Nov. And Cantor doesn’t need more Tea Party ire.

Consider that Freeped :)
I when these bastards (national parties) and establishment alligned people reach into state races. It’s none of their business it’s the people of N.C’s.
Provided that's true, who gives a flying crap? He's more conservative and district lines are meaningless and arbitrary circumstances.
Eric Cantor can take his choice and shove it. Dude is stupid for spending finite $$$$ on this primary.
Living in the district isn’t a requirement?
Legally? No, it is not. You only need to be a legal resident of the state in which you are running.
Ethically? It depends but IMO not really. It’s not like he’s from a different part of the state. Who cares if his house is outside of an invisible line?
What I would have a bit of a problem with is a guy that lives 12 months a year in the DC area. That’s what Hudson would likely do.

I didn’t realize that. I find it weird that I have to live in his district to vote for him (which I do), but he doesn’t have to live in the district to represent it. I lived in district 9 for quite awhile but got re-districted, and still have more interest in the Pittenger/Pendergraph race. I voted for Hudson in the primary because I had never heard of Keadle. I still know more about who is supporting him than I do about him.
May I talk now?
And I’m the last Democrat. It’s truly nuts here in the 8th. Racism abounds and they are saying it’s Kissell’s fault. I like Keadle, hate Dick Hudson, but I truly believe we will all be better served by Kissell. At least he will shut the demo self-apponited leaders down.
He’s honest about it. Dick Hudson is just faking it.
In two words, Robin HayesBeen. That’s his CAFTA loving support.
StevieRayAwesomeSauce appears to be having a conversation with himself. I wonder who is getting convinced—he,him,or himself.
