Looks like Governor Sarah Palin gets to say “I TOLD YOU SO” (MO: Akin vs. Steelman)
Fox News' Greta Wire ^ | August 21, 2012 | Greta Van Susteren

Check out the headline below from the Hill dated Aug. 12. Governor Sarah Palin endorsed Sarah Steelman in Missouri and not Todd Akin:

(GRAPHIC AT LINK)

(In light of the very weird political drama unfolding right now in Missouri, Governor Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Sarah Steelman sure seems politically wiser than the endorsement of Rep Todd Akin! I don’t know anything about Steelman – I did not follow the race closely – but I can’t imagine anyone could be a more difficult candidate for the Republican Party than Akin. He potentially hands the race to his political opponent Sen Claire McCaskill plus supplies the Democratic Party with more ammo supporting their assertion that there is a Republican war on women. Read the story below and click on the link to read more….and tell me what YOU think about all this.)

I did follow the race, and I'm here in Missouri. Steelman finished third in the primary. She was not a strong candidate. She lost the governor primary four years ago. She lost the Senate primary this year. She's not all that.

Steelman came in third. Palin was wrong.

And Mittens & the Boyz were right. And they'll be juggling the live Akin grenade all the way up to the election.

Palin was RIGHT. They needed a WOMAN in there to defuse McCackle. I guess you Missourians will SHOW US all...

Palin made the right call for the race, and the National Boyz should have respected it, and SUPPORTED it. Now, they're looking at the whole Republican fleet going down with all hands, probably because they had to "show Palin".

Mark my words - Todd Akin will be the defacto Republican nominee at the convention. Oh, they'll mention Romney and Ryan, of course - but Toddy will get marquee billing.

Skin wandered into the playpen of the Peepee & Cooter Party. The Democrat children will be shrieking about this till election day. This is pure Alinsky.

It’s not in Sarah’s nature to say “I told you so” she wont say it..she is probably devastated by this, seeing the MO Senate seat that was practically ours for the taking almost totally out of reach now. She knows what this means, she knows that the chances of defeating Obamacare just went out the window

Before you lose your head over this (pun intended) is there anyway of getting a real number of how many Democrats voted in the primary and just how many total votes were cast for the Democrat primary, if there was actually a challenger to McCaskill?

Now if you can come up with those numbers, run the numbers again for who would have won the race without the Democrat crossovers? Logic would say that Brunner still would have finished ahead of Steelman. Then factor in those who voted for Atkins out of defense of him in response to McCaskills ads.

To those in Missouri, you deserve what you got because of how open primaries totally screw up the works and you ill continue to have these little earthquakes until someone up there has the testicular fortitude to end this stupid political rule designed only to keep the establishment in position of power.

I just listened to the whole Hannity interview of Akin. The guy just can’t accept that a couple sentences imploded his whole career and made him radioactive. He was babbling about conservative principles as if he’s the only person who can carry the torch. It was actually funny to hear him try to spin when his inability to spin a completely predictable question effectively is what got him into this mess. Hannity was pretty thorough laying out the case for ritual suicide. He should have just plain told him “You’re in denial pal. Get the hell out of the race.”

Mittens & the Boyz sure showed Palin who's boss: Romney is Chūichi Nagumo at the Battle of Midway.

So the Akin campaign received 1.5 million dollars from McCaskill to win the Republican Primary. Interesting!

Akin has a 97.24 lifetime rating from the ACU. Is that suddenly a problem?

There is no party registration, so you would have to use self reporting. I doubt there is an accurate way to count. You go in and just ask for whatever ballot you want. In my heavily Republican county many Rs got D ballots because of a hotly contested Sheriff race. No evil intent, they just wanted a say since there is no R candidate for the office.

One could easily imagine a scenario where, had the DemonRats not put so much into promoting Akin, the Akin vote would have gone to Steelman. Voila! Steelman wins! Republicans win! America wins!

Hope you really enjoy this little victory.
