Looks like Governor Sarah Palin gets to say “I TOLD YOU SO” (MO: Akin vs. Steelman)
Fox News' Greta Wire ^ | August 21, 2012 | Greta Van Susteren

Posted on 08/21/2012 3:51:25 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Check out the headline below from the Hill dated Aug. 12. Governor Sarah Palin endorsed Sarah Steelman in Missouri and not Todd Akin:

(GRAPHIC AT LINK)

(In light of the very weird political drama unfolding right now in Missouri, Governor Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Sarah Steelman sure seems politically wiser than the endorsement of Rep Todd Akin! I don’t know anything about Steelman – I did not follow the race closely – but I can’t imagine anyone could be a more difficult candidate for the Republican Party than Akin. He potentially hands the race to his political opponent Sen Claire McCaskill plus supplies the Democratic Party with more ammo supporting their assertion that there is a Republican war on women. Read the story below and click on the link to read more….and tell me what YOU think about all this.)

Akin needs to drop out! He should have done the right thing dropped and out today but he is in denial, saying he misspoke.

He miss-thought! What a boneheaded thing to say, let alone think. How do ovaries distinguish friendly from unwanted impregnation? What a moron.

The rats will paint every pro-life Republican with this stupid statement.

Sarah’s instincts were correct. Plus the rats wanted to run against this guy all along.

What good is that if he loses to the Democrat incumbent?

I wish Steelman had won, but you’re stretching it. Palin’s pick came in #3, and if she had any real clout at all, Palin would be able to convince this dolt to quit. In short, Palin’s reach is deep, but not very wide.

“Steelman came in third. Palin was wrong.”

Incorrect, sir. Palin made an endorsement, not a prediction.

Given 20/20 hindsight, it now appears she was, in fact, right.

if Akin stepped down and was replaced by another pro-lifer like Steelman, all the single issue pro-lifers on freezer would not only have a pro-life candidate , but would have a winning candidate.

Nope, Missouri RIght to Life and the Missouri home school group both endorsed Akin. Legitimate conservative organizations. The votes would likely have gone to Brunner, but don’t let me get in the way of your little fantasy.

That may be so—but she certainly isn’t this Akin guy.

Palin made an endorsement, not a prediction.

The only upside I see to this is that the more the Donks hammer on Aiken, the better they make Sarah look.

The only reason Akin came in first is that dems followed the instructions laid out by Claire - they crossed over and voted for the only guy that she can beat. Then he fricken handed it to her on a silver platter.

I just listened to Mark Levin....the dye is cast.

It’s beyond Akin now, Obamacare, Harry Reid and the whole mess known as the DNC.
