Sarah Palin: Sure There Might be a New 3rd Party Rise if the GOP Doesn’t Stay True to it’s Platform
A Time For Choosing ^ | August 25, 2012 | Gary P. Jackson

Posted on 08/25/2012 9:57:43 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Sarah Palin was on Fox News earlier today talking to Uma Pemmaraju about the up coming Republican Nation Convention. She also fielded a few viewer questions ranging from how one should vote if they don’t like either candidate, to whether she’d ever run for Governor of Alaska again. She also noted, when asked, that if the GOP doesn’t get it’s act together, and start following the platform set out by it’s members, the party may very well go the way of the Whigs.

(VIDEO AT LINK)

When a lady asks what to do if you can’t get behind either candidate, further asking if she should just refrain from voting, Sarah tells her: “give Romney a shot,” reminding her that we must remove Obama from office, and repeal ObamaCare.

We asked about running for Alaska Governor again, Sarah answered:

I would much rather be able to work on unlocking Alaska’s vast resources. The largest state in the union, so rich in oil and gas and zinc and iron and copper and gold and the world’s richest wild seafood fisheries on our planet. I would rather work on unlocking our resources to help secure our nation for solvency for our sovereignty as a union than be holed up in Juneau again.

The one answer that is sure to strike fear in the hearts of the GOP Elite is the one about a new, third party emerging.

You know in studying history, look what happened in the mid-1800s when the Whig Party went away and the Republican Party surfaced because people, the electorate, got sick and tired of both parties fighting for power and [not] doing the will of the people, that’s why the Republican Party rose up.

So, you know, if history is any indication, it’s certainly a possibility at some point if Republicans don’t remember what the planks in their platform represent. And the planks in the platform are all about equality. They are about equal opportunity, to prosper and thrive in the most exceptional nation in the world, and how do we do that through a free market.

This isn’t a new feeling. Many of us have figured this is the GOP’s last shot to get it right. There are a lot of real solid Conservatives in the Republican Party, but ofttimes their efforts are stymied by what passes for leadership within the party.

After the interview, Sarah posted on her Facebook page reminding supporters she’s headed to Arizona to help Kirk Adams, Paul Gozar, and others:

As I mentioned on Fox this afternoon, I’m traveling to Arizona to join Kirk Adams and other commonsense conservative candidates at a rally on Monday at Joe’s Farm Grill in Gilbert, Arizona.

Check out Kirk’s website www.kirkadams2012.com for more info about the event.

SO you have no problem with her coming into local races and endorsing people she has NO IDEA about? She endorsed Paul Gosar over Ron Gould. Paul Gosar was the ONLY freshman tea party Republican who voted to raise the debt ceiling. She endorsed him over Ron Gould the most Conservative member of the AZ State Senate, with something close to a 100% rating by the Goldwater Institute and every organization that measures these things. She also endorsed Jeff Flake over Wil Cardon, the Conservative in the race. So she has become the kind for Republican she said she hated.

Blind adoration is not a becoming trait.

A big amen on that!

Blind adoration is not a becoming trait.

Nor is blind stupidity, of which you seem to be an excellent practitioner.

“Blind adoration is not a becoming trait.”

Blinding hatred is what is really unbecoming.....maybe you should look in the mirror!

My post reflect your hatred of Palin. Other than making note of that, I said nothing of Palin either for or against in my post... You’ve just used my comment on your original post to continue to bash Palin....you’re obsessive about it as I said..... Seek professional help!

"Romney should pick Sarah for head of the Department of Energy."

No, he should pick her for Secretary of the Interior so she can abolish the Department of Energy.

I don’t hate her. I do not know why she is picking establishment candidates over the conservatives in races. Wasn’t that why we liked her in the first place. Does anyone see that as a valid point of discussion, or would you just anther keep insulting anyone that asks a question.

Sometimes the structure is degraded ..

The structure is, basically, if you win elections - either for legislative office or for party office - on the local, regional, state or national level, you control the party; and, to a certain extent the structure.

If you can't win elections on these levels in the GOP with your people or manage them effectively when you do, you can't do with a new party either. It's the same tasks, skills, people. Anybody can build a party comprised of their kitchen table. Growing to a size that controls legislation requires greater skill.

What's harder is doing it from scratch when there's already a structure in place, ballot access, assets, systems, etc. etc.

I sometimes wonder if those that complain about the GOPe have ever participated in electing their local, regional and state party enough to understand that this is what the party really is - not some nefarious 'them'. Are you aware of this?

“Are you aware of this?”

Yep. But the local GOP wouldn’t likely support gun control, gay marriage, or someone who would create socialized medicine in a state. I’m also aware that the GOP-e is a network of people who owe each other money and favors, possess access to power, and promote their own creatures wherever opportunity presents itself- and that they don’t give a damn about conservative ideas or values. That apparatus either has to be erased (working within) or worked around (new party). The former appears not to be working. It is time to start looking at the latter.

“Wasn’t that why we liked her in the first place.”

What’s this we? You have never liked Palin, and along with many now banned FReepers, were 24/7 posting anti Palin remarks, and here you are again....

Your remark here is Disingenuous ....in other words, you’re a liar.

Goodnight Hildy. Your perfidy has been exposed, and it’s later than you think. I won’t waste anymore of my precious time on one such as you.

BTW Cruz is not an “establishment candidate...” nor was Steelman nor are others on and on. Take your misplaced hatred some where else......maybe DU would suit you better?

To say I would never vote for someone as hate filled as you isn’t an insult......It’s the truth... I wouldn’t!

Possessive ‘s. When we want to show that something belongs to somebody or something, we usually add ‘s to a singular noun and an apostrophe ‘ to a plural ...

Sorry, but personal possessive pronouns (ours, yours, theirs, its) do NOT get apostrophes for any reason. I teach English, but not in the public screwels.

EV was, and maybe still is, the Chairman of the party he linked to.

I think openess and candor are two of the main planks of their platform. Sarcasm off may be needed here, as he kept it hidden in the past, and threatened me when I followed him around alerting people to his position in that party.

Yes there is a locally elected GOP hierarchy.

Where does the state GOP hierarchy come from and who writes the by-laws and constitutions? And the national?

>>>”That apparatus either has to be erased..”

What apparatus specifically and where does it come from, how is it empowered and by whom?

>>”..working within or worked around (new party). The former appears not to be working.

How is it not working, is your local not working? What would working around it be like?

What do you have in mind specifically that is different than the existing? Monarchy? Oligarchy?

Hope I’m communicating my point here...

You have never answered Hildy's questions about Palin endorsing RINOS quite a few times now.

You have just repeatedly insulted Hildy personally and declared yourself victor over the woman through your own self aggrandizement....Hildy...who btw has been here NINE years longer than you have

so are you gonna explain yourself to her or whistle Dixie?

and you are welcome to view my history on Palin till your little fingers crack

I supported Palin from jumpstreet as my favorite POTUS candidate but her star has dimmed markedly for me

and to be further honest with you as you bullied around Hildy

I detest the Wolf Packs that track down dissenters and gleefully relish pinging JR in and whining like little children for a ZOT so you could hive five one another as often fairly conservative posters go down for simply not going along with the pack's little high school games

all for a woman who strung everyone along till the last minute

amazing you are still hogging it up...she did not run...some decent folks here got banned over what was nothing

it should be completely legal on Free Republic to not have to applaud Sarah Palin’s every utterance

the cult of personality is not pretty no matter who it is for...not even Magnus or Churchill if it precludes honest questioning on occasion

Thank you. I privately freepmailed Forty-niner and said this:

The reason I am so mad at her right now is that my friend, Ron Gould is running for Congress. I guarantee you would love him. He is as Conservative as any one human being could be. He is a State Senator and is known as a fierce conservative in the vein of SARAH PALIN! But Palin came in and endorsed Paul Gosar who is carpetbagging our district and voted to raise the debt ceiling!! He has basically handed over his district here in Arizona to the Democrat by not running there. I just don’t understand why she would do it except that Paul Gosar is the establishment canddiate. If you would debate me on that, I would understand it.
Why are you so hateful to me? I guarantee we agree more than we disagree.

I will not repost what he wrote back to me because I do not have permission, but instead of debating my question, he attacked me personally again. I told him that apparently obsession trumps all.

From a previous thread/post you know my opinion of you, so keep your opinions to youself. I have no respect for you for ample reason, and I do not wish futher contact with someone as backhanded as you.

” I detest the Wolf Packs that track down dissenters and gleefully relish pinging JR in and whining like little children for a ZOT...”

By way of example.... show me where I pinged JR or where I insuled Hildy. Setting yourself up a strawman arguement again and pinging your posse iseems to be your MO.... The remainder of your post is just pure grandstanding tripe in the same vein....

In character, as per my last encounter with you, you’ve resorted to making things up. Busted lying again pal. You needn’t respond, we both know who and what you are. I told you to straight to your face and need not repeat it again. It appears to still be a valid assesment, and your post is nothing more than about assaging your ego/guilt and payback for being called out for your previous (continuing?) behavior.

Wardaddy...humph!
