It seems that the U.N. ambassador, having endured GOP attacks, could have what it takes to lead America.
What a difference some Thanksgiving turkey and time off can make. Apparently the downtime worked wonders on the moods of certain members of Congress, namely Sen. John McCain. Just weeks ago the man said of United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice, "I will do everything in my power to block her from being the United States Secretary of State," in response to her comments regarding the attack in Benghazi, Libya. By Sunday, McCain had this to say: "Sure, she can give everyone the benefit of explaining their position, and the actions they took. I'll be glad to have the opportunity to discuss these issues with her."
Late Monday, another development emerged. The senator agreed to meet privately with Rice.
McCain's position, which a plethora of media outlets described as having "softened," can be credited to a number of factors. First, the vehemence with which the senator challenged Rice's qualifications strained credibility at best and was downright laughable at worst. The man who introduced Sarah Palin on the global stage labeled the ambassador "not qualified." As a result, he and other members of the GOP were accused of using coded racial language to target her.
Additionally, the same passion that the senator has used to lambaste Rice for potentially misleading statements came across as sounding awfully familiar. It was reminiscent of the passion he used to defend Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for misleading statements in the lead-up to the war in Iraq...

I still hold to my prediction that BamaClaus will be the last full or partial black POTUS until anyone alive during his era is dead. I’ll add that if he pushes reparations/progressiveism too hard, he could be the last regardless of skin color.

Susan Rice is being groomed for greater things. The Obamabots are looking down the road, at who is going to replace Obama in 2016. They can either accept Hillary Clinton as the next nominee, or they can elevate somebody else to a position with sufficient stature to credibly challenge Hillary, even though it is “her turn”. There is no love lost between Obama and the Clintons, so clearly he doesn’t want Hillary to follow him to the Oval Office.
Black beat Woman in the last go-round of Racial Rochambeau, but that will not be permitted to happen again. In the crass, simplistic world of Democrat Identity Politics, the only way to trump “Woman” in 2016 is with “Minority Woman”.
When Obama starts looking around for qualified, credible minority women who can take the top spot in 2016, the bench is looking a little thin. The only way to have a contender is to manufacture a contender. That is why he wanted to move Susan Rice up to Secretary of State.
The sad thing about this strategy is that it would probably work. That is why Senators Graham, McCain and Ayotte are doing such an important thing by going after Susan Rice early. They have to nip this thing in the bud.
