Creating gun laws is one thing, but convincing people to support them is something else. That was the job of Vice President Joe Biden on Friday, when he held a roundtable discussion on gun control in Virginia.
CBS 2’s Mike Puccinelli reports new laws could be tough to sell at gun shows, like one held in suburban Rosemont on Friday. Organizers said it was the first gun show in Cook County in as many as 50 years.
Gun shows have come under increased scrutiny since the school shooting massacre in Newtown, Conn., because in the vast majority of states, gun sales at such shows are largely unregulated.
“What will it take to move this nation when it comes to sensible gun laws? What will it take to move Congress when it comes to sensible gun laws? It took Newtown, Connecticut,” U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) said.

Durbin reintroduced legislation designed to prohibit the sale of 157 military-style assault weapons.
“People don’t use assault weapons with 30- or 100-round magazines to go hunting, and they sure don’t use them for self-defense,” Durbin said...

This appears to be Feinstein’s gun grab bill that Turbin Durbin signed on as a co-sponsor.
When I first saw the headline, I thought it said ‘Darwin’.
Durbin is an assault weapon- he used to play “n___r polo” against blacks in East St Louis in his teen years with his buddies and the douche should have to submit to a waiting period before being allowed to pick up sticks.
Turbin = “Turban” Durbin.
Come to think of it, that may be why he likes the idea of regulating guns or banning them outright. So did the KKK.

Semi auto carbines are militia arms. Precisely what the founding fathers intended the average citizen to own to discourage government tyranny. Because they believed, rightly so, that every able bodied adult was automatically part of the militia.
They also believed, again rightly so, that all governments will move toward tyranny unless sufficiently discouraged in advance. I would say that fear is being pretty well justified right now.

I never had a desire to own a semi-automatic rifle until now. It’s a shame the gun grabbers have driven up prices. The more the statists push for control, the more I want freedom.
