Ginny Burdick, a Democratic state senator from Oregon, called for gun registration while laughing about a shooting victim and insulting gun owners as "Rambos" in a video posted to YouTube on Sunday, Twitchy reported.
"There’s a real Rambo complex going on here," she said.
"You know my favorite one was the guy who after Aurora [Theater massacre] brought his gun to the same theater so he could get the attacker again and he shot himself in the butt," she added, laughing. "And that's a much more likely scenario instead of heading off an intruder."
Ironically, the video starts with Burdick warning about saying things one doesn't want seen on the front page of the paper.
A blog post by Victoria Taft says that Burdick claims to come from a family of gun owners, but she always calls for limits on the right to keep and bear arms...

Though I detest liberals of all stripes, no matter their gender, age, color, etc. Tell me what it is that is physically unattractive about this woman, and more importantly, what has that got to do with the price of tea in China. Even if she were as ugly as a mud fence, and she damned sure is not, I would support her if her views were conservative. It is comments like yours that disgust me on this forum.
There are far more unattractive older women in my family and circle of friends that are conservative and that I would give my life for.

I didn’t say she was ugly; I said she was homely. Huge difference. Helen Thomas is ugly; Katherine Hepburn was homely (my opinion, anyway).
That’s my take on this also. What the hell is this moron talking about?
I remember having a discussion with an ardent supporter of gun control and gun free zones. I asked him, imagine you were trapped in the Aurora theatre, a gun free zone, that night when the gun man came in and started shooting everyone. How much would you have given to have one person in the theatre that ignored the law and brought their gun with them? He was unable to answer the question.
This guy has to get a Darwin honorable mention.
