I can think of 10 reasons just off the top of my head for neither Gov. Christie nor Gov. Romney to appear at CPAC, as I'm sure you can, too. That also goes for Rep. Ron Paul, Gov. Jeb Bush, Senators McCain and Graham and about a dozen other figures.

Yet CPAC invites the loser Romney and the soon to be loser(to Hillary or Biden)Jeb Bush, smooth move on their part.

I think the big question is this; When Christie changes his registration from Republican to Democrat, will his weight still be a disqualifier for the White House?

I know the media has decided a fat Republican can't be President. But can a fat Democrat be President? Will fat suddenly become beautiful when he switches parties?

:~)) /s

Can’t argue leaving Christie out. He needs to get the message that he has drifted massively off the reservation. Jeb was a pretty damn good conservative governor here in FL. I have zero interest in his 2016 candidacy, and his immigration stance is not good, but otherwise, he’s on our side. Christie...I have no idea any more. He’s a loose cannon as far as I am concerned. I was a big supporter of his for a couple years, but big question marks are there now. He seems to be a man more concerned with Chris Christie than any conservative ideas.

When did a future in the GOP become a qualification to speak at CPAC? I thought it was a Conservative forum. I changed my registration from Republican to Conservative to get away from guys like him. After over forty years of having been disappointed, duped and betrayed by the GOP, even I, not the sharpest pencil in the box, got the message.

I am done with them! By their dissimulation, rank cowardice, and pandering they have forfeited any claim to legitimacy.

They are no longer the party of Reagan - they are more like the party of Chamberlain.

He’s a fat, liberal pig, that’s why he’s not invited.

Chris Christie is Arlen Specter Light (okay, kidding about the "light" part.)

Hmmm, okay, hows this...

Chris Christie is Arlen Specter, minus the sincerity and charm and trustworthiness ?

Why would Christie even want to go to a conservative conference?

In the spirit of the hypothetical question of why Christie will never be president, lets just say he wins some blue NE states with his moderate views, he will lose 25-30 states in the south and west over gun control.

We just had a NE liberal run for president and the worst Dem in 35 years beat him. As they pronounce the Tea Party dead, they will nominate useless RINO's that will insure the Repub party sinks into complete oblivion.

Conservatives win, mishmash loses. I don't understand why these NE libs think us "Rubes" out in fly over country can be fooled into voting for establishment approved candidates. I just think of some average Texas or Oklahoma voter thinking the best candidate would EVER come from Mass, Conn, NYC, Delaware, et al,.......NOT GONNA HAPPEN. It's a non starter for me.
