Has the moment passed for tighter gun restrictions?
President Obama himself raised that question Thursday at a White House event aimed at revitalizing the prospects for legislation, 100 days after a Connecticut elementary school massacre that shocked the nation.
Flanked by families affected by gun violence, the president made an emotional plea for action and insisted its not too late.
The notion that two months or three months after something as horrific as what happened at Newtown happens, and weve moved on to other things? he said. Thats not who we are.
Next Wednesday, Obama will travel to Colorado to highlight the states new laws requiring universal background checks for gun buyers and a ban on ammunition magazines of more than 15 rounds. Colorado has seen two of the deadliest shootings in US history one last July in Aurora, the other at Columbine High School in 1999.
There are certainly signs that momentum toward significant gun legislation has slipped since Newtown. In a CBS News poll out Monday, 47 percent of respondents said gun control laws should be more strict, down from 57 percent right after the Newtown massacre. According to Politico, the National Rifle Association is enjoying record fundraising, which translates into more donations to politicians....

Running false-flag ops means never having to regret that you let your moment slip away.
He let the movement pass, and the steaming noxious mess is called Obamacare.
Freedom From War, Publication 7277, State Dept. 1961.
Reducing nuke stockpile. Internal security forces - ie "we need a civilian military AS STRONG as ou military". Cutting regular military down - a sizeable part of which is operating under UN command or fulfilling UN objectives. Disarming citizens. The latest UN small arms treaty crap. Destroying the last superpower by killing the economy and creating economic crises by printing money like water. Getting ready to Cyprus our 401k's into "government bonds" and private bank savings into "stock/equity in the bank" your money's in - worse than FDIC-insured. Not far fetched as he hates America, walked around for months with the Post-America book he was reading, has all national intelligence assets looking at anyone who is "anti-government" (anti-Obama) as a threat. (And in case you didn't know, Freedom From War, the UN treaties do not allow civillians to remain armed - which means confiscation, by force if necessary.)
Do not think they will not take your supplies as well, as these emergency orders will also allow them to take any of your property they need. Once they disarm you it won't be hard.
This is what it's all about. In its "Second Annual Report to Congress" (February 1963), the ACDA presented a simple graphic depiction (see top of next page) demonstrating its proposed three-stage disarmament process:
U.S. THREE-STAGE DISARMAMENT PLAN
Newtown was a false-flag op? LOL, MK-ULTRA, perhaps?
What Good Can a Handgun Do Against An Army?

It appears that axe cuts both ways, and when government opts to manage from crisis to crisis, you need to make sure you've completely exploited one crisis before moving on to the next.
Newtown? Isn't that the place trying legalize gay marriage?
I don’t think he let the moment pass. Within three hours of the shooting in Newtown he was on television demagoguing his evil heart out for gun control. The moment never came. He tried, all of his minions and fellow travelers tried, but the reality is America doesn’t want gun control. The moment for that never will come no matter how hard the Progressives try to manufacture it.
The question no one seems to ask...
IF the 1994 AW ban had been made permanent would the Sandy Hook shootings have still happened using other weapons?
Would the anti-gunners be pleased if Lanza had only killed half that number of students because of new laws?
How many children do the anti-gunners consider expendable if they have new laws?
Can the anti-gunners give us ABSOLUTE ASSURANCES that this will NEVER happen again if such laws are passed?
If they grandfather in guns and magazines owned in the past, does this mean that they believe murders will only happen from guns made in the future if such laws are not passed?
If they can’t answer each of these questions they are just blowing smoke in their relentless drive for people control.
Thanks to the efforts of anti-Second-Amendment folks, we probably won’t be able to walk anywhere in America without tripping over firearms and ammunition. ;-)
I don’t know, probably not, although the timing seems suspect. But they’re commies; the safer course is to overestimate rather than underestimate their perfidy.
Why not look at these numbers for U.S. Abortions, not the CDC's but stats by doctors.
Think about it, these deaths are all avoidable and the numbers should shock every American. And when someone tells you it is about "choice", remember the choice was made by the parents, before life began in the womb. And remember that none of the babies had a "choice".
Federal Undercount of U.S. Abortions: 1999-2009
Year | CDC Surveillance | Guttmacher | % CDC Undercount |
2009 | 784,507 | ||
2008 | 825,564 | 1,212,400 | 31.9 |
2007 | 827,609 | 1,209,600 | 31.6 |
2006 | 846,181 | 1,242,000 | 31.7 |
2005 | 820,151 | 1,206,200 | 32 |
2004 | 839,226 | 1,222,100 | 31.3 |
2003 | 848,163 | 1,250,000 | 32.1 |
2002 | 854,122 | 1,269,000 | 32.7 |
2001 | 853,485 | 1,291,000 | 33.9 |
2000 | 857,475 | 1,313,000 | 34.7 |
1999 | 861,789 | 1,314,800 | 34.5 |
And to add: a total of 827,609 abortions were reported to CDC for 2007. In 2008, approximately 1.21 million abortions took place in the U.S.
Actually, your first number, 323, is the number of people murdered in 2011 by rifles of ALL kinds, not just semi-automatic rifles. I think it was about 30 people who were murdered by so-called “assault rifles” in 2011.
Also no mention made of the billions of dollars of unpaid push for more gun control by the MSM.
This article is a prime example. The unstated assumption of the whole article is that more gun control is good, it is not unconstitutional, any simpleton knows that, and anyone in opposition wants children to be murdered.
“Newtown? Isn’t that the place trying legalize gay marriage?”
LOL...everywher in CT is the place trying to legalize gay marriage. Otherwise, Newtown is the place where Obama thugs tried to create a scene that would decapitate the 2nd Amendment.
These scenes will continue...and eventually it will be necessary to take a serious stand on the part of ‘We the People’ for the 2nd Amendment.
This will happen, because the NRA and the GOP make deals...deals that will eventually sell us all out...
It would take some of the punch out of your poster, but it would be more honest, and ultimately more compelling if you were to correct the drunk driving number. That number is heavily ginned up by totalitarians just like they do with the gun death numbers, so to make the comparison apples to apples, you’d have to adjust it.
