A new Harper Polling poll shows a plurality of likely Alaskan Republican voters support their former Governor, Sarah Palin, as a U.S. Senate candidate in the 2014 GOP primary over Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell and 2010 Senate candidate Joe Miller.

The survey of 379 likely Republican voters found that 32 percent support Palin, whereas 30 percent support Treadwell and 14 percent support Miller. The Harper Polling poll, conducted via telephone on May 6 and May 7 on behalf of the Tea Party Leadership Fund, found that 45 percent of likely GOP voters think Palin would “fight hardest for conservative values,” compared to 25 percent who thought that of Treadwell and 15 percent of Miller.

Similarly, the poll found 43 percent thought Palin would be the “strongest person to take on liberal Democrats in Washington,” whereas 27 percent thought that of Treadwell and 13 percent of Miller.

Both Treadwell and Miller have launched formal exploratory committee efforts for the 2014 primary race to determine who would face off against Sen. Mark Begich (D-AK). Palin has not indicated she would run....

One can run for President and still be in the Senate. In the Senate she will have an official presence in Washington DC. From there she can work to change things and speak out against Obama and Harry Reed and all-—It would be the best place to use her talents. BUT it would not be easy—the left will do all they can to defeat her—but she is a fighter. No, the left do not want her anywhere near Washington DC.

Her preferred candidate for senate didn’t win yet Murkowski won via write in. Theres no hope for gop voters if so many are willing to vote for Murkowski over Miller

What if the Senate republicans assured Alaska that if they voted for her, that they would be forgiven and that her seniority would be guaranteed in 2010

And that Miller lost by that SLIM MARGIN?

What do you remember from the details of 2010?

Aren’t Alaska and Arizona majority GOP?

49% is barely 1% higher than his winning margin in 2008. Those are lousy numbers for an incumbent, especially for a Democrat in a Democrat poll. Begich is viewed as a fluke, in light of the fact his win was due entirely to baseless charges made against Ted Stevens.

I expect any credible Republican candidate will beat Begich, and that includes Palin (although Joe Miller might be too controversial). My personal preference is for Gov. Sean Parnell to run. If the Republicans can’t beat low-hanging fruit like Begich in a state that dislikes federal Democrats, they won’t take back the Senate majority in 2014.

From 77% in total to 32% among Republicans is a sad decline.

Alaska is becoming more Libertarian. Was Republican for decades. But since Murkowski altered the game many people up here are more of both sides, gotta remember Alaska is a heavy union state, heavy military, heavy subsistence so you get a whole heck of a lot of people actually having to heavily depend upon the government for their paychecks.

The holout big city such as Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau are pretty much democratic, similar to Austin Texas.

Problem is that if Palin decides to run for Begich’s seat and wins the primary, the very same GOP-E forces which attacked and undermined Miller to help Mookouski win as an independent would quickly mobilize and do the same to Palin. There wouldn’t be much she could do about it with the Corrupt Bastards Club once again on the ascendency there.

It wasn't that simple.

Lisa Murkowski ‘Lawyers Up’

Miller: NRSC ‘meddling’ in Alaska race?

I am with you, I supported Rubio quite handsomely only to find out it was a very bad investment.

Goes with the old saying, you can wipe out a truckload of “atta-boys” with a single little OH &H!T. He had several truckloads and they are all gone.

She could take a senate seat in a walk.

No need to ‘little buddy’ me, pal.

Sadly, I think that Bedich would win—and that would be the end of any political viability for her.

Much as I’d love to see a Sen. Palin giving the Democrats gas, I like her better on the sidelines throwing bombs and helping conservative candidates get elected.

It looks like the good Senator Rubio has chosen a different path succumbing to the poisonous DC water and no longer prefers to be considered with the likes of Paul, Cruz and Palin. That was really too bad. Hope he sees the light and gets away from his new pals McCrazy, Gramnesty and Chuck-U Shyster.

The Senate with Palin, Cruz and Paul would be a shot in the arm for America and would even re-build the TV ratings for CSPAN.

I just want her to be happy and to serve America in the way that she and GOD deem best. I KNOW that Sarah is of GOD and that she is motivated by good and not by power or wealth. I trust her... so I will support and back her in whatever she decides to do. Personally... I would love to see her in the... WHITE HOUSE!!!
