For WSJ writer, Elizabeth O'Bagy, PHD stands for Piling it Higher and Deeper

The Syria researcher, who wrote the oft cited OpEd piece by Elizabeth O'Bagy, on the Syrian Conflict was fired for lying about having a PHD. from Georgetown University. She also failed to reveal one small little detail. She works for the Syrian Emergency Task Force, a nonprofit group who advocates for Al Qaeda and other opposing forces in Syria. And let us not forget the best part. Who pays for this propaganda? You do.

The main problem is that she has caught the ear of many of our leaders. She has been cited by John McCain, John Kerry, and others. David Reaboi, vice president for strategic communications at the Center for Security Policy., said that O'Bagy's op ed piece is an extremely serious case of conflict of interest.

“ “While there’s been a lot of worthwhile effort to expose activists considered pro-Assad or pro-Hezbollah — or, at least, to consider their analysis as coming from an interested party — O’Bagy seems to pass herself off as an impartial observer of the situation. Her access to Congress, intelligence services and to think tanks should be regarded as what it really is, which is a reflection of the Syrian rebels’ cause and aspirations.”

O'Bagy is not a Wall Street Journal writer. She penned an Op-Ed piece which had credibility with the WSJ because she was defining White House policy re: Syria.

Cause and frikken effect.

Who with a brain actually thinks a 26 year old knows anything about anything? This is the same problem that is pulling American business into the muck, the so-called “smart people” who are seldom anything but inexperienced, unproven, and egotistical products of liberal elitist universities, and allowed to exercise power and influence.

Sound familiar? The only difference is, she couldn’t afford to build the same firewall around her records that Our Fearless Leader has around his.

I see one from 12 hours ago...wonder if she hadn’t got the memo by then?

Do they check to see whether people have their purported degrees? I thought there was software to do that.

She might have had the very same backer that Obama had...that of Al-Waleed bin Talal.

He paid for Obama's expenses (such as they were--Google Percy Sutton) at Hahhhvahhd and he is the benefactor of Islamic Studies at Georgetown (Google John Esposito).

While she hasn’t be completely honest, no one has accused her or the group of being advocates for al Qaeda.
Hyperbole doesn’t help the writer who is trying to point out another’s deception.

[sincerity, average] It was just a typographic error. She misspoke. What difference, at this point, does it make? [/sincerity]

Biden has lied about having two college degrees and being in the top ten percent of his class. He was actually in the bottom ten percent.

Will he be fired?

O’DoucheBagy was also President of the Harvard Law Review, wrote two best sellers, Dreams of Myself, and My Enemies are My Enemies. She claims to have been born in Kenya and was raised by a pack of hyenas.

I hear your point about the use of hyperbole. However, it seems to me that in this case, she has been advocating for al-Qaeda, just not calling it that. Just like Obama supported “Arab Spring”, which meant he supported the Muslim Brotherhood taking over. Ted Cruz pointed out recently that 7 of the 9 major rebel groups have ties to al-Qaeda. Since O’Bagy and her organizations are advocating for the Rebel groups, then they are by definition advocating for al-Qaeda.

It is mind boggling, isn't it? Most 26 year olds are still pretty clueless and have no idea at all how little they actually know. Especially ones that have just finished their education.

Didn’t anybody question her credentials? Given her age what kind of experience could she have?
