POLL: GOP could lose House in 2014

Obstructionism may play well for House Republicans in safely red districts, but a poll done this week suggests that the government shutdown may actually hurt Representatives in competitive districts. In a poll conducted in 24 House districts over Wednesday, Thursday and Friday by Public Policy Polling, registered voters in 17 of those districts favored a generic Democratic challenger over the incumbent Republican. The Democrats would need to win 17 seats in the 2014 midterm elections to take control of the House. Republicans have felt the brunt of the public’s anger for the standoff over the government shutdown. Polls released last week by CBS and Fox showed that Americans blame Republicans for the shutdown by a wide margin. Progressive organizations like MoveOn.org, which paid for the PPP poll, are already preparing to make a push to retake the house, although the general election is still more than a year away.

Anything put pout by MSNBC is the worst kind of smelly waste material.

If they said the sun would come up tomorrow I would start doubting it.

If reigning in the tyranny of an increasingly rogue government is too offense for the sheep, then are they worth representing, anyway.

Sometimes... the right thing must be done, politics be damned. We’re all screwed for the most part anyway, so at least make a stand.

LOL...Public Policy Polling is the Democrats’ polling service. And this is published by msnbc, for crying out loud. Any Republican who thinks these enemies of freedom are going to give helpful advice to the GOP needs to switch parties immediately. They are stupid enough to be Democrats.

Cruz just had a tele-town meeting with 104,000 people, yet he’s a loser.

I think it’s time we drove home the point that big money robocalls can’t force us to get out and vote, don’t you?

Yes. I think the robocalls actually hurt the candidate. Attack ads do not work on people who already made up their minds.

I understand through a little bird, that the REPS are sitting on quite a bit of Benghazi and IRS information until after the first of the year.

If that's the case, it shouldn't have sat on anything pertaining to Benghazi or IRS. The further away from the time at which these issues were hot, the less the public will care. Most Americans barely understand what a "Benghazi" is, much less glean anything as to why it matters. As for the IRS issue, the old self-preservation attitude is in play here. So long as the IRS is only targeting the hated "teabaggers," they don't feel any sense of danger. Sorry... I just don't have the same level of confidence in voters some do, anymore.

The electoral process in this country is no longer valid. That was proven in the last presidential election.

Remember: It doesn’t matter who the people vote for - it only matters who counts the votes.

There’s more chance that MSNBC will crash and burn in bankruptcy court before CNN. THAT is more likely, people!
