McConnell smacks down tea party groups: They mislead for profit
MSNBC's Morning Joe ^ | November 8, 2013 | Jane C. Timm

Sen. Mitch McConnell is done playing nice.

McConnell smacked down the tea party in an interview with Wall Street Journal opinion writer Peggy Noonan published Thursday evening.

The Tea Party is made up of people who are “angry and upset at government,” the Senate minority leader said, but they’ve been mislead by their leaders.

“They’ve been told the reason we can’t get to better outcomes than we’ve gotten is not because the Democrats control the Senate and the White House but because Republicans have been insufficiently feisty. Well, that’s just not true, and I think that the folks that I have difficulty with are the leaders of some of these groups who basically mislead them for profit,” he said.

When the tea party helped Sen. Rand Paul defeat a McConnell-approved candidate in a Kentucky Republican primary in 2010, McConnell made nice with the Senate’s tea party wing and looked to shore up his right flank, hiring a Paul-family friend, Jesse Benton, to run his re-election campaign. A tea partier challenged him from the right, but McConnell leads in polls by a 47 points.

Then the shutdown hit and all bets were off—McConnell quickly became a target when he brokered a deal with Democrats to reopen the federal government without taking down Obamacare....

The Tea Party is made up of the only Americans left.
This is why I am very pessimistic for the survival of America as we knew it.

There will need to be a revolution but not necessarily one with physical armies like 1776.

It will need to be a gospel revolution.

Except for some sparks of life here and there, Christian faith in America has gotten weak and disheveled. The tribulation of a nice life of idols proved to be too much for those who had historically held this faith.

And this is how God does house cleaning. By letting evil, and that includes weakness and misdirection of faith, frustrate itself and its practitioners perish or become poor. Then God steps up with a message of divine salvation and it will generally be accepted, unless the situation is as far gone as a Sodom. Which in spite of long unprecedented rampancy of homosexuality in America today, hasn’t come close to happening yet (remember, an entire town sought to gang bang Lot’s angelic guests). (The “gay” crisis today is, I believe, a judgment on the widespread, if not absolutely universal, preaching and teaching of a weak gospel that is not up to helping these people out of their evil practices.)

Anyhow. I’ve gotten grief from a lot of people who say resurgence of faith is impossible. I say they are nuts and the Father seconds it. But it will need to be from new missions here. Most of the old churches are not, at least yet, up to the task.

Immmm. Yes, it is mitch. We know it. YOU know it. And good luck trying to erase the truth that is right in front of our eyes. Your time is up and ours has just begun. Get used to it.

“feisty”is a loaded word meant to belittle. McConnell’s use of the word here proves his essential dishonesty.

He is intentionally misrepresenting patriots’ concern with mainstream Republicans. Our concern with mainstream Republicans is not they they have been insufficiently “feisty”. Rather it is that they have been insufficiently AWAKE.

Mainstream Republicans have been oblivious and indifferent to the revolutionary changes being wrought by Democrats other so-called progressives. They have been sleeping on duty. They have failed to raise the alarm. They have failed to stem the advance of the enemy within.

In fact mainstream Republicans are so out of it that they lack the capacity to recognize the enemy in front of them even while they attack.

What good are they to anyone but themselves?

Mainstream Republicans are worse than useless in the fight now upon us. They are in the way or aiding the enemy; either way, they have to go.

We can’t let us be suckered by any of the BS coming from that camp. They are putting their own sorry careers ahead of the national fate. Who cares what happens to the Republican brand? It’s only worth as much as it represents. If all it represents is Democrat enablers, suck-ups and apologists, it doesn’t represent anything worth keeping.

Notice that McConnell fights harder against the Tea Party than he does against Democrats?

The beauty of the Tea Party is that it has finally flushed out the Republicans who want to work in concert with the Democrats.

This blue blood country club degenerate scumbag who looks like he just escaped from the morgue should be in a nursing home and not still haunting the Senate.

Time to send soldiers to DC that have the balls to destroy the marxists and smash the system.

Every time this old bag opens his mouth against the tea party he needs to be slapped down hard

Time for the opposition to unify around a single primary opponent and fight creepy SOB like McConnel just as hard as they need to fight the communists in the general

Time to take the gloves off

Team Romney continues to be tough, but
ONLY against conservatives.

THE GOP is corrupt as the DNC.

Look what politics as usual has done to the country. It has given us a US Senate with a majority of horrible people with a huge superiority complex. If they're defeated in primaries, they win as third party candidates, with lots of help from corporate media. They sell out for pet projects or favors for their friends, then tell us we don't understand politics. When one of their own party doesn't play the game, they backstab their own (think McCain) with no restraint urged from their buddies. They seem to be mostly unpleasant, corrupted, self-centered elitists who are a world onto themselves.

The House of Lords seems to be far better as a ruling body. The Senate of ancient Rome might have been worse, but I'm not really sure about that.

How did it reach this point?

The problem with the GOP is that there are far too many Americans, supporting sending jobs to other countries.

We have for an entire generation, been selling out.

Now the Tea Party could begin to solve this issue.

Stop buying everything from everywhere but here. Bring back American jobs.
