And the MSNBC host had plenty to say about the current state of his Republican Party, including the belief that the GOP is “too obsessed” with “hating on” President Barack Obama.

I'm too obsessed with not taking Scarborough seriously. It's a good obsession.

Obama’s policies have greatly hurt people and been destructive for our nation. It is personal only in that he is doing these things purposefully. If he wasn’t he would have changed course two years ago as the economy remained tepid, the congress swung to the opposition party and the country was against his health care plan.

Instead he accelerated on several fronts, destroying our military, spying on Americans, using government force against his opponents and filling the pockets of his political allies. This is nothing short of a tragedy and one we may not be able recover. For that, yes, we hate Obama and what he is doing. If he was still a no-name backbencher in the Illinois Senate we would be indifferent but he’s in a seat of power where the damage is overwhelmingly bad.
