Hillary Clintons artificially inflated poll numbers have made her seem like an especially strong presidential candidate, but the Clinton bubble is quickly coming to an end.
Earlier in June, Ross Douthat of The New York Times noted that she has been leading every potential Republican candidate by around 10 points and running far ahead of President Obamas job approval numbers. Carl Cannon, the Real Clear Politics Washington bureau chief, cited her standing as the most admired woman in America, a contest in which she easily topped Oprah in 2013.
But Ms. Clintons re-entry on the political stage over the last few weeks is turning her back into what she was before her stint as Secretary of State: an intensely polarizing political figure. Politicos most recent poll, conducted in June amid the initial publicity for her book Hard Choices, found that her favorability ratings have already dropped by 20 points since 2012 among Republicans.
A recent NBC/Wall Street Journal poll found that her ratings, which were 48 percent positive and 32 percent negative in April, are now down to 44 percent positive, 37 percent negative. A similar decline was apparent in polling from Fox, which pegged her favorable/unfavorables at 51 percent/47 percent last week compared with 54 percent/43 percent in early June.
These findings confirm the pattern in her long-term poll numbers revealed by Charles Franklin, a University of Wisconsin political scientist, who published the results on Twitter. Since becoming first lady in 1993 after the election of President Bill Clinton, the accompanying graph shows, Ms. Clinton has been especially popular twice: When she was seen as a victim during the Monica Lewinsky scandal (1998-1999) and during Mr. Obamas first term when she served as Secretary of State (2009-2012)....

What difference does it make?
Women will still vote with their vaginas and She Who Must Not Be Named will have a third term as co-President.
Lol.
I’d guess it has something to do with #4.
(not mentioning who that is, don’t want to ruin it for anyone else)
They both shave their facial hair?
Personally, I think her 2016 presidential aspirations will be derailed by Democrats once again -- because they see her as a "neo-con" tool and don't trust her.
Actually tied for 3rd (both at 5%).
“When she was seen as a victim during the Monica Lewinsky scandal (1998-1999) and during Mr. Obamas first term when she served as Secretary of State (2009-2012)”.... ALSO AS A VICTIM.
The reason She wasn’t nominated in 2008 was the message she got from the Obama camp and the Chicago Machine, in the form of two super-delegates who were found dead.
Throw the nomination to Odinga - or else.
Why, yes, they are political whores and darlings of the mainstream media. Other than that, not much in common.
They have the same taste in men?.....................
I’m sorry, but The Slimes has got this completely bass-ackwards: it’s McCain who is like Hillary.
“Predictably...by late October 2008, a...poll found that only 11 percent of Democrats and 38 percent of independents had a favorable view of him (McCain).”
Not very good numbers, and then he started SPITTING at the Republican Base...he wasn’t left with many voters by election day.
Run a LEGITIMATE conservative and the base will come out, and the Dem and independents will be icing on the cake.
Oh, never mind, Karl Rove tells us that we need to run a moderate...like Romney, to win.
Hillary is Obama light.
Physically speaking, hillary isn’t quite as attractive as McCain. That’s about the only difference.
