Hillary Clinton isnt likely ever to become president of the United States. In fact, there is a greater possibility than is generally recognized by the Washington cognoscenti that she wont even run. If she does, though, the barriers she faces will prove overwhelming. Her 2008 campaign was her last good shot for the office, and she failed. Since then, numerous developments have conspired steadily to diminish her prospects. Those prospects are now near zero.
This analytical framework holds absolutely no credulity in Washington, where thinking rarely extends beyond the conventional. The conventional wisdom, of course, is that Mrs. Clintons nomination is nearly inevitable and her subsequent election highly likely. Its true that she is smart, tested, universally known, a whiz at fundraising and generally respected. The long-ago scandals that got her labeled by one prominent columnist as a congenital liar have long since receded into the netherworld of the national consciousness. On paper, she looks nearly unbeatable.
Presidential elections dont take place on paper, though. They take place in the real world, where politics is always about the future. Mrs. Clinton is a product of the past.
The country is at an inflection point brought on by its crisis of political deadlock. It desperately needs a new brand of politics that can break the deadlock and set it upon a new course toward its future and destiny. In such times, a gap normally opens up between the political establishment, guided by the lessons of the past, and the electorate, always ahead of the establishment in pushing for new political paradigms, new dialectical thinking and new coalitions. In the campaign year of 2016, the voters, angry and anxious, appear poised to grab power away from the establishment and invest it in candidates of the future....

Unlike the Pubbies, the Dem’s don’t seem to be wedded to the “their turn” theory of nomination. If she starts to look like another Dole or McCain they’ll throw her under the bus.
Main drawback IMO is that she looks hideous in HD. And she becomes extremely shrill if someone manages to get under her skin. And by the time 2016 rolls around many in the electorate will have no memory of her husband’s Presidency.
I agree. I think the book release was somewhat of a trial balloon. And it popped. I see her changing oourse very soon to her deciding that being a grandma is more important to her than running for the WH. She might drag her feet on this a bit to give the DNC a chance to figure out what they will do without her.
How long has that been true? The country has needed something new -- or rather better -- for a long time but it doesn't seem to get it.
Maybe the author's the one not living in the real world. Just because he sees a need for something new and understands Hillary's inadequacies, doesn't mean real world voters will meet the need or see through Hillary.
Hillary / Moochelle 2016 Baby!
We are the Democrats and we focus on Stupidity!
Just look at the Community Organizer in Chief bring back Middle East wars, the fall of Iraq and the glorious return of the USSR in less than 2 YEARS!
Woo-Hoo!
NEVER underestimate the stupidity of this idiocracy. It elected a POS twice.
Shitlery will be the next _resident if she wants to be.
IMO she will not run. I have $5 and a pitcher of Margaritas riding on it. :-)
